    Cuzco 'till Thursday

Just arrived in Cuzco. I do know one thing: My little bit of butchered spanish-speaking ability is not gonna be enough for me to get around comfortably while I'm here. After Cuzco, Lima.

Wandered the smaller plaza west(?) of the main plaza this evening, met a younger girl(20-22yo), Juana. Tiny thing. The conversation was so ackward, as she knew no english, and my spanish sucks. Could barely make out that she wanted to go to the states. Was wondering, what is a discrete way of asking if a girl is working en espanol? I had no idea, so we parted ways after about 20 minutes.

When I came back to my hotel, the Anden, the guy at the front desk had a good laugh when I mentioned the possibility that she was not working. Is it true that most peruvian women are shy? Say it isn't so. So I guess I missed out on an oppurtunity. Will post further if I find anything.

If there's anyone with some mongering suggestions(preferably SW's) please post or PM. Thanks in advance.

Also, any mongering advice for Aguas Calientes? I plan on staying there for one night, so I may get to Machu Picchu early on at least one day. Let me know.

    gracias

    Non-mongering sightseeing

I came up here on the standard 3 days and 2 night junket. It cost $547 including flights, airport transfers, tour of Cusco, train station transfers in Cusco, Vistadome train ticket, bus from Aguascalientes to Machu Picchu, tour of the ruins and lunch afterwards, and the hotel in Cusco.

Besides it´s value of providing a fig leaf cover sightseeing excuse for us mongers to the folks back home, Machu Picchu just can´t be missed if you´re in Peru. Trust me, once you´re there you´ll be glad you took time off from bopping lovely Peruanas for a bit of history and culture. The scenery is stunning. The guide has been visiting the site for 40 years and wrote a book on the place. He knows lots of cool nook and cranny stuff that most don´t.

It´s really worthwhile to stay longer than the 3 days. It´s especially a good idea to stay in Aguascalientes an extra day so you can trek to the outlying places, especially the top of the famous mountain that´s in all the photos.

Cusco itself was worth the afternoon of sightseeing. As for nightlife and mongering, I didn´t have much of a chance. The altitude factor (11,000+ feet) hit me hard, even right out of the plane door I was huffing. And it wasn´t just being out of breath. It also affects the digestive system. So I wasn´t feeling at all well for either of these two nights, and wasn´t really up for any adventures to the listed mongering places here. Early morning wakeup calls to catch the train or the plane back were the clincher. Keep in mind that Machu Picchu is about 3500 feet LOWER than Cusco, so there´s not so much effect there.

I did manage to wander around Plaza Armas a bit. I can say I saw absolutely no women looking available, pro or non-pro. I also had a look in at the sports bar which is right on the Plaza. There was one table of non-pro looking women there. But knowing that it would probably take time and work plus struggling with said altitude issues put me off from trying.

So if you´re coming to Cusco it´s worth allowing a few more days here to get acclimated and to see more of the sights. But if you´re like me you´ll be thinking that if you never hear ´El Condor Pasa´ again it will still be too soon.

    El Sol

Pick up the local "El Sol" newspaper. Its a small daily publication. Its costs .50 of a Sole. At the near back are small ads. About 20 were of women offering services. Most girls cost 30 Soles and can either visit a guest friendly hotel or have an apartment.

Hawkers handing out leaflets for pole dancing place called "Casanova"

    Un legar solo para ti

Monday to Saturday from 10pm. Street called Pasaje Grace 135 just off Avenue Sol.

If you are under 30, head to Mama Africa Disco any night. Lots of drunk gringas (western backpackers / tourists). Easy enough to score. Aot of local players here as well. While lots of girls down from Lima on holiday many local girls will give you the eye and become your friend for a few days.

To those interested in surfing while in Peru

you need to check out the movie peel: the peru project. it's currently showing at independent theatres here in the states. i saw it two weeks ago and it took me right back to my time in peru. not much in the way of chicas, but the movie really captures the feeling of visiting this country. i think you can order the dvd from the website, if you're a true fan of the genre.

Got a taxi (5 Soles) from centro to "La Curva" last night. Took about 20 minutes. Taxi driver said it was the one and only Chonga - brothel in Cusco. Still no entrance fee and 15 Soles for 1 pop. Dark as no outdoor lights. About 100 guys there for about 30 women each with own room. Cant see much except for the red lights in their room. No old girls but all a little chubby... typical Cusco.

Its an outdoor coutyard. If going, go early about 5pm. These girls see some action. I have no doubt they do 30-40 guys per night. As soon as a door opened and a guy comes out.. about 10 guys run over to see who is available and rush in.

What was weird were the guys listening at the doors and other guys sneaking a view of the action through the cracks in the doors and windows. Very weird. You could have 3-4 guys doiing that. One security guy at hand walking around and another at entrance.

One cutie but put off by queue to get at her. Walked to the road and walked a few yards to the left. You can get a "rapido servico" back into the very centre of town for half a sole (.50).

Update: Opens at 5.00pm. Girls arrive from 4.30 - 6.00pm. Better to get there befre the crowds start arriving and girls are fresh. Get there at 5.50pm. Inner door closed until then.

    Cusco Scene

I accidently posted this yesterday in the photo section. It should have been here in the Cusco section so I'm reposting.

After my first trip to Peru, I was pleasently supprised. I had some time alone in Cusco so I made a trip to Decameron. I arrived at about 11:00pm and was the only gringo there. There were about 3 other guys and about 5 girls. A few of them were a little soft, but several were very attractive. The bar tender asked me if I'd like to talk to a girl and I pointed out a one of two nice looking young ladies sitting on the couch together. He went to talk to them and they both giggled and acted silly. Not a very good turnon. The other girl, Jasmine, actually came over and we sort of talk (I have very limited Spanish). She agreed to 150 Soles for 1 hour in addition to the 35 Sole barfine, and the girl's drink.

Took a taxi to my hotel and she didn't waste any time. CBJ and then multiple poses. Seemed rushed and left shortly after. Not the best experience, but at least I felt safe at all times and the attitude was very relaxed.

Note, the taxi from the main square (Plaza de Arms) to Decameron was only 4 Soles.

Overall, I think it's a great place for mongers. If you like it cheap and ugly, there are several places you can go. If you like attractive women and are willing to spend a little extra, I recommend Decameron. It's nice to go to a place where you can openly negotiate for a young lady to do you and not worry about LE.

Also, no problem getting a girl into Hostel Cristina.

With Air Fares of $100+, maybe it a bus ride is worth it.

The trip from lima is like 20 something hours by bus so I recommend you brake it up and find some towns in between that might instrest you.If you go south down the coast towards arequiepa there are a few places to stop like pisco/paracas but unforunately you would have to turn inland for a long duration of the trip. There is a lake area 8 hours inland from arequiepa that is a big tourist destination and about another 8 hours from there is cuzco.

Gringos spell cusco with an s because our native language is not espanol.I'll contain myself from using a common grammatic error that latin people use. There are many of use making an effort to learn spanish so lets play nice.

Anyone know how much a luxury bus ticket costs?

Since I knew my hotel is a problem my last day I just returned to Sol de Oro to get things over with. The first time I went it was 11:30 on a monday. The second time was 9:30 on a Wednesday. The selection was much better the second time. But also more guys. You can tell where the good ones are. There will be about 6 Peruvian guys hovering outside the door. As soon as it opens 2 or 3 will run up and talk to the chica apparently negotiating because you can see her shaking her head no. As soon as they leave another guy with the 15 soles will dart over and into the room. You have to be alert to get at the two or three attractive ones.

I am sure what a previous poster said is true. It is better to get there early.

Emperador Plaza, not so guest friendly

checked out the silent spa banos turcos in cusco. wasn’t given a choice of chicas. wasn’t offered any extras, nor did i ask. the woman was 50 if she was a day. it was my first time to this type of place. so maybe someone with more experience and better spanish skills would do better. it’s hard to believe that the peruvian guys i saw walking around were there for what i got.

competition among taxis here is fierce. so it is fairly easy to avoid the gringo tax. anywhere in town should be 2 soles. maybe 3 to the train station and 5 to sol de oro or noica and decameron. more than 1 sole above these and you are being taxed. just say how much you want to pay before you get in. i didn’t have one say no. although a couple were suddenly struck with alzheimer’s when we arrived. they didn’t fight hard and accepted what i gave in the end. it is best to have the address written down because if you ask them if they know a place they will say yes. as often as not, they will be lying. so since i didn’t have the address to decameron, i made the guy tell me three times he knew where it was before i got in. five soles from the plaza d’armas. it was a little far and i still don’t know where in the hell it is. i didn’t even see a sign on the door.

you have to walk down a long hallway to get to the club and the only indication that i was in the right place was a neon sign on the wall. this place has been described as more upscale. i don’t know if i would use that phrase. it’s big and dark. i got there at 10:30 and was the only customer in the place. there was one uninteresting chica slouching in a chair. after 15 minutes i got up to leave and the bartender told me there would be “many chicas” in twenty minutes. i wasn’t excited about returning to noica, so i stayed. he was right. at about ten to eleven they start streaming in. i don’t know what it is like later. (i was told that it doesn’t get going until around one.) but at this time, they were all huddled in groups at tables against the wall. difficult to see from the bar and about fifteen yards across an empty room..
being the only customer in the joint and sober, i was happy when the bartender asked me if i wanted to talk to one. “er, the one in red” good guess. nineteen year old hottie from iquitos. no english, and a manner of speech i couldn’t possibly understand with my level of spanish. so i got to the point quickly, which seemed to genuinely surprise her. maybe peruvian guys hang out all night before asking about take out, who knows. she asked for 100 soles for a half hour. but agreed to 150 for an hour. still seemed a little high for this neck of the woods but i was into her.

when i paid the tab, the bartender tried to give me two condoms in lieu of 5 soles change. i refused this which caused much consternation around the bar. they couldn’t scrounge up 5 soles from four people? he finally flagged a cab to get the change. the cab driver kept the five for the fare. i probably would have tipped the guy at least 5 soles for bringing the girl over. but the condom thing just pissed me off a little.

when we got to the hotel, the night clerk literally blocked our entrance and said she can’t come in. i said she is not staying the night only visiting. he said no.we argued for a while. until, i said, “what if i pay a little more?” guess what.

he charged me the difference between what i was paying and the posted rate for double occupancy. i don’t think it would have been much easier if i had paid for a double in the first place because he made her register and i got the stink eye the next day from the female day clerk. it’s a good idea to check that the chicas have id before you leave the club. one i pulled from tequila rocks did not and this one would not have if i hadn’t said something before we left decamerron.

all in all worth the trouble. good bbbj, nice gfe no surprises or squabbles back at the room.

    2 orange juices 20 soles
    1 chica drink 35 soles
    salida 30 soles
    chica 150 soles
    joiner 42 soles

editor's note: i certainly hope that the author or somebody else will post a link to this report in the reports of distinction thread.

Arrived in Cusco last Sunday. Had reserved a room At the Imperial Palace over the internet. The reasons to not stay there are too numerous to mention. Just don’t. Moved to the Emperado Plaza which is quite nice for $40 a night. After seeing all the empty rooms in the morning, I’m sure they would have gone lower, but at the time I was exhausted and desperate. A chica at Noica told me she had been there and it is a good place. Haven’t tried to bring a guest yet though. There just wasn’t anything at Noica that interested me that much. I only saw two out of 8 or 9 I mught have gone for. One was putting a lot of effort into not making eye contact and the other I didn’t see until I had paid the check and was walking out the door.

Worked out ok though because I went to Sol de Oro. I have seen a few names for his place on the forum but the one that the cab drivers I spoke to knew was Sol de Oro. The cab ride from Noica was a little nerve racking because you go through neighborhoods where a gringo could easily disappear. Got there alright though.
As described previously, it is a parking lot with rooms all around. Some are open with chicas standing in them some are closed. It’s 15 soles per pop. I paid one twenty because I just didn’t have the balls to ask for change after paying $6 for a fuck. No problem whatsoever with the locals. Very laid back. And I am not the kind of gringo who blends in. One chica was yelling “hey gringo!” at me across the parking lot and some things I didn’t understand which the peruvian guys thought was quite funny. Here they don’t speak the kind of spanish they teach you with Pimsleur. But it wasn’t a problem. So I went over and did her. Well worth 15 soles. There were always 4 to 8 taxis there so getting one back to the hotel was easy. Paid 5 soles for the fare.
