OK fellas. Time for some updated and accurate information. Anyone that reads my posts knows that Iīm pretty objective. Picky maybe but objective..yes. I have a novel soap opera about my novia from Colombia but Iīll maybe save that for another time. Lesson learned is definitely spend some time with a girl to see if you can get along with her long term. The other lesson learned is that no matter how hot a girl is there is only so much you can talk about if there is an age difference. Iīm a fairly young guy and donīt have too much of an age difference. Iīm not sure how you guys in your 40īs, 50īs and 60īs can seriously expect to have a serious relationship with a girl that is 20 years old. Oh well...to each his own.

I managed to sneak out last night. Firstly, La Rumba is no longer open. It is out of business. Second, the action in the Plaza de Armas is really not much to write home about. For some of you out there and the ĻNibusĻ (no offense intended Nibu) out there it might be ok.

There are two main clubs in town. Both of them arenīt in the touristy section of town. The first is called Noica. It is a 2 Soles fare from the Plaza de Armas. It is small and the music was too loud. There were only about 7 girls and maybe only one was doable. From what I gathered during my short stay there you order a large beer for 20 Soles and a girl will come over and talk to you during which time you can negotiate for services. I was told the girls wonīt come over if you donīt order a drink. Iīm not sure if that is true or not. There is no cover charge. I left before I even ordered a drink.

The other club which Iīm told is the best in town is about a 15 minute taxi ride in an area called San Sebastian if I remember correctly. Itīs Decameron. Make sure you ask the taxi driver before he takes you if he knows where it is. The first taxi driver didnīt know and I had to get out after a few blocks and get a new one. I met a guy handing out flyers in the Plaza de Armas. His name is Moises (Moses). He is a really cool dude and his English is very good. If you speak no Spanish you might want to try hooking up with him. Iīm told he also goes to Machu Picchu with people if they want. He is a good guy to know. His email address is miskyheart@hotmail.com if you want to email him.

I got to Decameron fairly early night at around 11 PM. There were no customers there. I had a few Cusqueņas (local beer) and waited and girls started filtering in. Most were not up to my standards but a few cuties were there. I was surprised when one girl came up to me and starting speaking Portuguese! She was half Brasillian. She wasnīt the hottest girl there but she had a good attitude. There were about 20 girls there by midnight.

I was going to talk to a few girls when the Brasilera came over. She wouldnīt stop rubbing me and kissing so I was kind of locked into going with her after I made out with her for a while. She had a pretty face and her body was decent although a little soft. I knew the going rates were around 100 Soles for an hour. First she told me she could get $100 US from some Americans that didnīt know the scene. I laughed and told her Iīm not one of them. She just laughed and she agreed to the 100 Soles (3.45 to $1 US).

We got back to my hotel and I had no problems bringing her in. Shit...she was really affectionate. She kept telling me she digged me. Anyway, I snapped some photos but I probably wonīt post them. Iīm finding that guys around the world go to a place I post on and tell the girl I posted her picture which makes it difficult for me when I go back so there is no upside to me. She was 18 years old and had one kid. We went hard and heavy and after 2 hours she still was there. I told her that she had to leave as I didnīt want my Columbian girl to find out. Anyway, she fake falls asleep and wonīt move. I tell her she has to leave.

I will warn you guys to be careful in Peru. Iīm not sure if itīs me or everyone but both girls I sessioned with (including the one in Lima at the high end club) didnīt bring a condom and told me I didnīt have to use one if I didnīt want to. Like I said...be careful...sometimes we can get carried away and I admit Iīm an idiot when it comes to this sometimes.

Cuzco is a very quaint town. I still plan to move somewhere in the near future for 1 to 2 years to study Spanish and this might be a good choice. I was told you can buy a decent apartment here for $10,000 US. Does anyone have any information on this?

Iīm staying at the Hostel Cristina which is perfectly fine. My bed and pillows are surprisingly comfortable and with my good friend, Ambien, Iīm having no probems and getting plenty of rest. Itīs only $30 a night. It includes breakfast but Iīve been going out to nicer places to eat. They are also chica friendly. Iīll post contact information later or just do a Google search on Hostel Cristina Cuzco.

Iīm headed back to Lima this afternoon. More later.

I paid 7 dollars and actually wanted to pay a bit more to get something better, since it was so cheap anyway! Then I found out you had to pay a lot more to get a real increase in quality, and the room was almost perfect anyway, so I stayed.

    Saint:

I think the market is very split is Dec/La Rumba. The largest part consists of low-end girls that cater to the local market, and then there are a few real quality girls that cater to the local bigwigs and the well off foreigners. That's what it looked like to me, anyway. At La Rumba one was an utter stunner, and two were very pretty, the rest were so-so if you didn't have a ( really) big breast fanatasy...

Also, almost all the good looking girls that I met in the square were actually Limeņas coming to party in Cusco on their summer holiday, so I wouldn't be surprized if the quality has gone down a lot.

    Robert:

Just ask if you can have a visitor. You should go around asking for prices and deals anyway. It's no problem either way though, taxis are almost free ( a buck a ride ) and you could always ask the girl for a hostal, she'll know one.

I was in Cuzco two nights and headed back there tomorrow. (Iīm in Aguas Caliente now). I went back and read about some high end clubs in Cuzco. Iīll check them out. (La Rumba and Decameron). I doubt they will have much quality but Iīm willing to try. I walked around Plaza de Armas two nights and the reports of last year in my opinion arenīt accurate as of today if youīre talking hotties. Most on my scale donīt register past a 5 or maybe 6 being generous.

    More later.

I am interested in monger friendly hostels. I am going to be making some reservations soon and would like to be able to stay at a place that does double duty. Where I can safely stay and maybe monger if I wish. Does this sound possible. I know some places may not approve and that is fine with me. I just want to know some that don't mind, so I won't offend anyone.

    Thanks for the help.

    Saint ( dude ),

If at all possible look to bed down for under $5 a night. Shoot for $3.

Whenever I travel to NYC I always stay at the bus station for my best deals. Keep your clothes in a locker and use the urinal to shower. Then with the money you save you can eat at a White Castle .

Dude, screw the "hotels" and look into the "HOSTELS" the previous poster was right on...2-5 US and the people are GREAT, most even give you breakfast and an afternoon snack to go with some coca tea. When I went, my only expensive night was when I stayed on the mountain at the MP resort up there. THATS expensive but after a 5 day hike, I needed a hot shower and a shave. Drop your hotel plans and save some money! The beds are just as comfy!

Thanks to all those that sent me a PM regarding this. I might just skip it and hope for the best. I dont like taking medicines. I arrived in Lima late last night with my novia. Its nice in the Miraflores area. Not sure if I can hobby but I might extend my trip after next week and stay a few more days. I already have all my hotels booked in Miraflores and Aguas Calientes. $5?? Shit. The place I got is like $40 a night and I thought that was cheap. Thanks again for all the advice.

Saint: Seriously, you have nothing to fear from drinking coca leaf tea. It's by far the best cure for the soroche. The amount of cocaine in coca tea is extremely small, and coca won't get you wired unless you chew a bunch of it with some lime based helping agents. AFAIK there are no good remedies for altitude sickness available in the pharmacies, they just aren't very effective and some of them also have bad side effects.

Robert51: I may be able to answer some of your questions.

    Saint,

If you are flying in Cuzco, your flight will arrive in the morning, (high altitude and afternoon flights dont mix).

when going to Machu Pichu by train, it leaves in the morning, so you will overnight in a hotel, this will give you time to adapt. Drink the coca teas, they taste like hell, use plenty sugar.

If you are going by Inca Trail. Do NOT consider hiking the same day as you arrive, regardless of your coca ingestion. It is a long hike, uphill, rough trails. Sleep at hotel the night before you start in Cuzco, let your body adapt, go next day.

If you are going by chopper, doesnt matter, the chopper get tired.

PLS NOTE : turists had to be rescued from MP by chopper and ferried out last week end because mud slides cut the roads.

the cost of hotels in Cuzco is a joke US$2-5, just walk arround looking for the hosterias, hostales, etc. Avoid big hotels, why pay US$100-200 ??? use them on the chicas man

    Saint...

I don't know anything about that drug. But I WILL recommend that when in Rome....errrrr Peru...do as the Peruvians. The coca tea they serve at EVERY cafe, the 1/2 way lodge up the mountain and the MP Hotel up there works extremely well for all that ails ya. I went 3 years ago to climb MP and had probably 1 cup a day while I was there....worked very well. They have also conveniently planted some along the hike to help you out. Just rip a few leaves off and chew it.

Best of luck..its a climb! But its worth every step!

Hey guys. Need some quick advice. A physician on the board mentioned to take Diamox for altitude sickness if going to Cuzco. I totally forgot about it and I'm at the airport now arriving Lima in a few hours. I'm headed to Machu Picchu. Can I get Diamox there in Lima before I go to Cuzco? If so, what's it called there and where can I get it? Is it in any pharmacy? I'd prefer taking it rather than that coca based plant. Thanks in advance.

Any one in Cusco looking at this board anymore?

I have questions, do you have answers?

    Take care.

    Hi fellas,

New monger here needing advice. A friend and I are heading to Peru early in April, and we need help deciding where to go. We only have one week and would like to either go to Cusco or Iquitos. DanDaMan has made them both sound very interesting. We mostly are interested in local girls if possible vs pros. Given our length of stay, where will we have the best luck and the most fun?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

No problem, Saint! Aquas is actually quite a nice place, but it's pretty small, so you might get bored quickly.

    Thanks Tantrik,

That's some good detailed advice. I think Cusco sounds more my style. I'll hit Lima one night then spend the rest of it in Cusco and Agua Calientes. I'm quite sure there isn't much action in Aguas but that's ok. Thanks again for the info.
