I was dating someone in Lima, and she told me that she "did great" with hosting, and I was curious as to how much that was. I have known someone who worked as a Bud Light girl years ago and she was paid $20 an hour. Average salary in Peru is about $500 or $600 a month from what I read which is about $3 or so an hour.

I had met a woman on line on seeking arrangement and she is a hostess. She told me that the minimum rate is now $20 to $30 an hour to host for an event: basically wear sleazy outfits to attract potential customers at trade shows. The woman I was dating said men hit on the hostesses all the time, and she said some women were game to meet up with the men for the right price particularly Venezuelan women in Peru desperate for cash.

I just can't believe models and hostesses in Lima are getting paid that rate. It seems equal to or higher than American wages. Can anyone confirm if that number is true?

I have actually read guys who hire models and hostesses with the intention of getting them in the sack, and I have heard that it works some of the time.

I looked at previous threads and I saw the girl friendly map but a lot of those hotels are not girl friendly anymore. Has anyone recently been to Ibis I plan on bring few different girls to my room. Will that be a problem? I usually have good luck with Airbnb but supposed to be really cold in Lima and heating would be nice. I'll be sure to post details of my trip. A lot of hit-and-miss. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes it is a bait-and-switch scheme.

I am not a frequent user of ad sites. Being a local, I tend to rely more on recommendations from the girls themselves and from fellow mongers. But, as a tourist without time for building a contacts network, you'll just have to risk it. Or pay the forum's subscription fee and contact Jockey16 or other forists for referrals.

Nowadays, an American tourist with no time to build a contact network and not willuing to risk outside the Barranco-Miraflores-San Isidro axis, should be able to find girls in the 150-300 soles range (45 - 90 US $) in sites like kineseconomicas, putasenlima, photokinesiologas, placeresdelperu, kinestops or similar. Geisha academy is at the high end of the scale and I can't imagine who is paying that either.

Absolutely agree 100% about the "LOS Delfines" hotel. They have security all over.

One time I had a young lady meet me at the restaurant and after grabbing a bite to eat, we headed towards the elevators.

Before we could get in, security asked me to go to the front desk where I was informed, as if I had committed a crime, that I had to pay for an additional person on the room, eve if it was for a short time.

Their customer service stinks anyway.

I will be in Lima last weekend of August. Its been a few years since I last went to Lima so am excited to see what's new. If anyone wants to grab a drink let me know, I speak Spanish / English. I went in there Saturday night. There is no sign, that I could find on the outside.

The place just looks like a regular disco and is only open on Friday and Saturday nights.

One of the security guys from the other Sabor Peruano saw me and we chatted a bit. He confirmed it was just a disco and he rarely saw any working girls.
