I think you might be only looking at one side of it. Its not that the SOL is strong but the dollar is weak. There are consequences of being the biggest debtor nation in the world.

Agreed. I cannot imagine a Peruvian passing herself off as a Colombian unless her mark is very naive and new to Peru. The way they look, dress, and talk are completely different. Frankly, I find Colombian girls much more attractive though Peruvian women have in general better attitudes at least whilst in Peru.

I think as of today, it is 2. 55. I see the bottom at 2. 40. However, some of the girls in Peru need a course in international finance as their pricing never changes to compensate. I stay at a Miraflores hotel and their room rate has remained the same for the last 6 months and they charge in dollars.

It's pretty easy to tell the difference between a Colombiana and a Peruana. Although I can't explain it, I know it when I see it. If you speak Spanish, then you can also tell by the accents and verbiage.

After a while he went to the bathroom, and my girl started to laugh. Seems this so called Colombiana was really from Lima as my girl went to school with her a few years ago. My take is some of these Chicas like to pass themselves off as from Colombia so to demand a higher price for the one hour spin they will provide. Now I know there are some girls from Colombia, but not as many as advertised.

I was in Asia beach resort last week for a few days as I had a free place to stay in one of the nice beach houses there. I knew it would be dead and it was. Asked a taxi driver where I could find chicas. He said there was a casa in Canete, which is about 25 minutes south of Asia. Cost was 100 soles round trip for cab and 100 soles for one hour with the girl. Not knowing what to expect and not that desperate (see the recent Arequipa posts) , I passed.

Also, stopped in TR for a quick look around. Stuffed with overpriced Colombian girls. One girl from Ibague asked me for $150 US for one hour. She said that she was here for 15 days with girl friends and staying at a hotel with them. Very non hooker looking with nice body and pretty face. She was wearing a nice mid riff blouse and jeans but at that price I was not interested though you could bring her home to Mom.

Finally, I will leave his name out of it but PM if you want more info but there used to be a Peruvian guy who posted on this board a few years ago and claimed he had hot limena young girls who wanted in on the game. He moved to Cusco so I looked him up and he provided one average girl who was no big deal. But then came though with another university student who was pretty hot. 200 soles for 1 1/2 hours. Partook three times until she started asking me to borrow money and too much clock watching. These girls learn fast!

This guy admitted that David 33 had a very low opinion of him though never got a straight answer from him as to why. This guy takes a cut from the girl as compared to David who does not. This fellow moved to PEM recently as I think he pissed off a girl in Cusco who has connections of some sort.

I'm thinking about going down to Lima from Toronto. Very good reports on this site. Can you tell me what the cost of the food is at the Blue Moon? I want to visit this place. I really like seafood and it sounds like Lima Peru is a good place to go. On the sex side, I have a preference for caucasian girls. I would assume I can contact David?

The lunch buffet was 52 soles (about $20 USD). I went on a weekday. Weekends might be more. Maybe 60 soles ($23 USD). Go hungry. You can really stuff your face if you try everything. I would have no problem going back w / friends. There was some exotic meat as well as the local seafood and all the Italian specialties. One tip: Everything is room temperature but they will warm your plate for you. It cost more than buffets in the USA but the atmosphere, bottles, and combinations of entrees are unique.

Send David a PM for sure. Read his post of "Information I need if you want me to help you out" and follow his instructions / recommendations. David will take care of the rest. Good luck!

First- I am not a shill. Let's get that straight. Don't know David. Never met David. Never spoke with him on the phone. Still he delivers unselfishly. His friends say good things about him. Case closed.

Second- Here is a "trip report" for you. I recommend Blue Moon Restaurant on Pumacahua 2520 in Lince. Has over 20, 000 bottles on display. Wall to wall bottles floor to ceiling. It's a stunning display. Buffet rocks. Fresh seafood of all types. Cerviche. The anti-pasto section can compete with and tops many 5 star hotels I've stayed at. Over 50% of meats are baked, sauteed or roast. He does not load the buffet up w / cheap fried items. Many buffets keep the price down with 90% fried crap. Not him. Same family running it forever. Very attentive service. Very clean place. Mixed seafood on a clamshell was my favorite. Chocolate dessert w / nuts was addicting. Fresh baked bread while you wait. Only serves lunch. The theme is traditional Italian. Even Genoa Salami. Same Italian food you find in New York.

Best traditional Italian cuisine I found in any restaurant South America. But the buffet angle makes it extra special. They had the #2 spot in the world in the Guinness Book of records when they displayed 17, 500 bottles. Now they have pumped it up to over 20, 000 bottles, but have slipped to #3 in the world. But who is counting anyway? Highly recommended.

Just my input; Things have changed in Peru like in most other hobbying countries. The dollar being weaker, influx of hardcore colombians and changing mores of the peruvian woman has affected how I in particular do my hobbying. Yes, I like to be adventurous and take a chance at something new. But, I don't want to waste time or money repeatedly. For example, I would call the phone #'s in some of the local papers or ads online. It took time to make a list as these girls were all over the place as well as calling the numbers only to get the voicemail or wrong number. If I got to contact 1 out 10, I was lucky. Then more often than not, when I got there she would be nothing as advertised and I would just walk away. I would also hit some spas and little known places but all I would find were bbws which are not for me. Now I limit myself to Troca and friends of friends. I can see why someone making a 4 day visit and a newbie in Lima would go for the sure thing. That being David's helpful service.
