Even with a taxi, you can go both ways, pay the entrada, get 3 girls and a beer for $35 US. Can't beat that. I would not suggest taking a bus - a least the first time or two. You should pay no more than 20s and maybe 15-18 each way. But you can't tell them where you are going. Just how much to Callao - Minka shopping center? Then when you get to the Minka area have him go the additional 2 blocks. You pay an automatic 5-10s for saying "Trocadero". But you can always take a cab for 20s or less.

Tastes vary. I enjoyed this place as well, but many guys have been turned off just by visiting the Troc. One mans Heaven is another guys Hell. If you speak a little Spanish, it is amazing how sweet some of these ladies can be - despite the hardcore surroundings. But it is not for everyone . . .

The closest I have found is Quito Ecuador. None of the Quito chongos are as large, but there are soooo many of them. Most have 4-9 rooms with 10-50 women in the bar or other public room ready to deal for $7-$15. The bedrooms are almost always shared by all the girls - not rented out as at the Troc. And you can chongo hop easily as there are often 3 or 4 in the same area. Also a place like Club 122 in Quito has many more great looking ladies available for $8. The Troc has maybe 3-4 women out of 80 that one might consider really good looking.

I agree with what you said about Las Cucardas. When I went there a few years ago I was able to get the services that I wanted. The last time I went the prices went up and the service IMHO sucked. They get way too many clients in there to worry about pleasing just one person.

Everyone talks about Las Cucardas but I think it has seen better days. When you take that out of the equation you have la nene el botecito and el trocadero as your main sources of PFP on the budget end. Add chongo san jose and you had a decent amount of options. If you are lucky enough to be here for a sly one party and have contact with david 33 then you are good to go. If not I could think of many other pfp destinations that are way better than lima.

Hi I just returned a week ago from a month in Lima (only. And it might as well just been a visit to Callao haha) and the verdict is that Lima lives up to everything I had expected in the forums (and I read them all). The near 50, 000 km round trip (from Australia) was well worth it.

I was initially worried about my total lack of spanish (in Australia we have absolutely zero exposure to it, theres not a few hundred million spanish speakers next door), but this whole trip was accomplish by the use of:

Numbers 1 to 1000 (not that I used numbers over 50 much at all)

Cuanto questo?

Sin condom

District and main street names (years in scouting had given me a great sense of direction)

And knowing a few names of foods and drinks

At the end of the trip I was catching buses everywhere and exploring all sorts of places.

A little background on myself, I'm an asian in my early 30s, and in most western countries we're not given the time of day by the local chicks. But I don't like asian chicks at all, a little unfortunate with asia being only a few hours away, let alone the hundreds of thousands that live in nearly every Australian city. Oh, and I prefer larger ladies (size 14/16+) and no condoms.

Stayed the entire trip in a single (S/. 70) at Maria Luisa, Miraflores. They were doing a lot of work on the place (and made a shitload of noise), but that ensured I got out of bed and out of the hotel by 10am.

As I discovered, there are alot of cheaper places out there, but they just don't advertise on the net. Anyone advertising on the net (especially in English) was at least double the cheapest/local price. But I do recommend staying somewhere like the Maria Luisa for a week till you find another place. I found a fair few Miraflores options at S/. 40 and lower such as the Hostel Larco on Ave Larco 3 blocks from Larco Mar, let alone places away from Miraflores for as low as S/. 15. I saw billboards infront of a fair few hotels advertising jacuzzi for S/. 80, but I really couldn't be bothered moving. I had set up my room, bought a dvd player and had gotten used to my room.

I never worried about bringing a girl back, as I couldn't speak with them, nor did I want to pay a huge amount.

Its quite easy and safe. Walk to the corner of Ave Arequipa and Dos de Mayo, and catch any bus going to Callao (I'd always ask. Faucett?. To which they just should say Si) and your fine. The Bus should have on the side (usually the third last and second last roads. La Marina. Faucett). It should be about S/. 1. 80 or 2. Get off at cnr Faucett and Argentina. If its your first time, splurge on a taxi (S/. 4 or less) and get them to drive into Troc. Memorize what the street entrance to Troc looks like, so you can start catching buses the 5 or so blocks up Argentina. Return trip is even easier as theres ALWAYS buses waiting in front of Troc which leave when full. Just get in one of them, you can either take it all the way to town, or just get off at Faucett, and go back to Miraflores.

Ok. Inside.

Its not what what a normal brothel would be like. It was more like a meeting place for guys, with sluts. There are always people just talking, standing around drinking (yep you can get beer, food, and bring what you want, no searches etc). Prices for food and drink are reasonable, street prices + S/. 1 or so.

Girls are always smiling at you and trying to get your attention (alot of girls I went past tried to get my attention calling me "chinito" and batting their eyelids or motioning me in as I went past). Negotiations were easier than I imagined. When I saw I girl I wouldn't mind seeing, I asked 'cuanto questo', and it was always somewhere between S/. 15 and S/. 25. That was followed by 'sin condom? ' they either quoted a price, usually double their normal price or said no, or 'con condom' or something. I'd reply with double the price and they usually said yes. I usually gave a S/. 3 to S/. 5 tip which they seemed happy with. Note, I like the bigger girls so I never tried this with the spinners.

On a typical day I'd say there'd be about 100 girls at the Trocodero, with about 1/2 young, 1/2 old, and 30 of them large. S/. 15 entry, girls S/. 20-S/. 30. Botecito, 30 girls, mostly old, mostly large, was S/. 12 early in the week and S/. 15 later in the week, girls S/. 15-S/. 20. I went for the whiter looking chicks with the cute faces, and by the end had about 6 girls I'd seen more than once.

My whole trip to Callao usually cost around S/. 100-S/. 120, which was for a 2 girls and included everything including a few soft drinks.

Other places I went.

La Cucardas. Didn't see anyone. No one did bb. It was very small (20-30 rooms and only about 15 girls when I went). Plus it was full of tourists.

Le Nina. Empty. I went late after noon, it was about the same size of Botecito but there were only 4 girls working.

I went to Gamarra a few times looking the fabled La Victoria chongo but no luck.

Other thoughts. For a place with a million Chinese fusion resturants, not a full blooded asian in sight (I could count the number of asians I saw on two hands), and I saw a whole 2 in barrio chino. And I went a fair few times and went through all the little malls and markets etc. The story I heard was they all packed up and left 10 years ago. But theres alot of half asians (and probably one or two more after my visit haha).

Other than that, nights were usually filled hanging out at casinos or english pubs (such as the one at the end of pizza alley).

I can't wait to come back. I've definely got this place on my list for early retirement.

Yes, you should have paid Jackson his $19.95 before leaving the States.
