I am new to this site. I am planning to visit Lima from Dec. 28th.Jan. 3rd. I know this is not the best time to visit but because of my work I cann't take off at any other time. I would highly appreciate if some one can advice me if it is worth visiting this time of the year. It will be after Christmas but will there be enough chicas crowd either in clubs or casas or through the help of great great guy like David-33 to have reasonable good time during that week. Any feedback would be highly valuable and appreciated as I can plan out my trip accordingly.
Thanks in tons.

I just want to put a plug in for ACP. They have been extremely professional in all dealings and I'm very pleased with my apartment. Like many others who have travelled here for the first time, I spent a lot of time looking through countless Lima apartment websites. Don't waste the time.
The guy who runs ACP is super to work with and he can point you in the right direction once you get here too. I'm very, very pleased!

Posts: 59You can send a bank transfer from your US account directly to your Interbank Account. Interbank charges $18 for processing the transfer deposit and your bank in the states may also charge a small service fee, usually about $25-$35. But in order to open the account you need to deposit at least $100 in cash. You must advise your bank the Name of the bank you want to send the transfer to, the account number, Swift Transfer Code for Interbank and that is all. I get transfers twice a month from the states and it is in my account within 1 hour of being sent. Haven't had a problem since I opened my account last year.
Once your account is opened, you can withdraw up to $1,000 per day in US $ or in soles. Only restrictions are that after 6:00 PM any day your withdrawal limit is only $250 per day, this is done by the bank for security reasons to prevent convenience kidnapping, where the person is temporarily kidnapped in order to empty their bank accounts with an ATM card.
Hope this helps

How do you get money in that savings account?
Can you transfer from an account from the states?

Actually you would be lucky to get TLN for that price in any club IMHO. The exception might be kines or some independent chicas if you have those contacts. The miraflores sw's I've been doing come out to $43 ST with bbbj.

For anyone American living in Peru, all you need is to open a US $ savings account with $100 deposit at Interbank. All you need is your passport and other photo ID like driver's license and they give you a Debit Visa account. You can use it as a charge card (or withdraw up to $1000 in a day.
Process takes all of 15 minutes... This is the only bank that requires such little paperwork....Problem solved....

Up to about a year ago I would withdraw $ 500. Now all I get is $ 200.
I have done it at different ATM's, they all give the same amount. Also, you will be given $ 20 bills, all shitty looking bills. At one time I went to a teller and was able to get $ 500 on my debit card. The exchange rate at any bank is shitty, best deal is to get $$$ and go a green vested guy but, whatch out
for fake money!

I've been using the citibank atm next to macdonalds for years now. I used to take out 700 soles at a time. Yesterday the limit was 450 soles which is less than $200. Does anyone know of a better atm in miraflores?
Thanks

I agree, watch out for SWs. They rob you without knowing. If you have loose cash on your pockets be careful. Once i thought was prepared only taking needed cash and left everything else behind. I paid the SW first after we got in the room and before we got started. Then, after getting some decent action from the SW she left. As i was exiting the hotel she toke me to, i put my hand in my pocket and realized all the left over cash was gone. Be careful, there really good at stealing.
