WOW. I cant believe how much I´ve done in a week here. I will try to organize this the best I can.

Bullets:

1. Continental Airlines has new planes that offer TV's like jet blue. They will soon be offering computer services like power supply etc. The bad thing about it is they put the power box under the aisle seats so it takes up a third of an already cramped leg space. Basically I sat for 8 hours with my legs to one side...stupid if you ask me. Bottom line a coach aisle seat is no longer a decent way to travel on Continental as long as they use those planes..again really stupid.

2. To my surprise BOTH atms at the lima airport would not accept my debit card. Bring some cash. The next day I went to citibank in miraflores and it worked fine. I have been able to get out 700 soles ($243) at a time with a $2 bank machine usage charge. I will be charged a conversion fee as well.

3. The maria luisa is going well. There is some noise and it can be a bit cold. There is a club next door so friday and saturday you won't be going to bed until at least 4am. They are also still working on a hotel next door so I've been hearing some light hammering but nothing too serious. I hear the laundry machine as well. Otherwise the service has been great. I did a load of laundry for $5 at the hotel.

4. I was eating at my favorite restaurant last sunday and in walks a bunch of guys with tattoos. They wind up being the band "agnostic front" from new york city. A famous hardcore band. I got to see them play live that evening. What a crazy experience. Those of you who know hardcore will understand what I went through.

5. I also attended a live soccer game peru vs argentina for $30 (great seats) It was a great experience.

6. David 33 organized something for me and there was a little confusion as to the date and time. The girl was waiting for me and I never showed which was horrible. I explained this to david and he gave me another chance which I was very thankful for. He sent me a beautiful indian girl with a pocahantis type look. She was a real sweetheart and the service was great. I am a pig in bed so if she handled me that says alot. I like to dig holes in butts with my tounge then DFK afterwards etc. Great BBBJ. This trip has been VERY different for me. I have been working the non pros like crazy and I haven't had to go to a brothel since last monday..it's nuts. Tidbits:

I was told there is a brothel(25 soles) in san miguel on avenue La Marina in front of a restaurant named "Miguelon" its a little hidden but I've been told you can find it without too much effort. La Marina is usally pretty safe. Opens at around 7pm

Also went to 326 pedro conde (ground floor 35 soles 30 minutes) in lince and had a decent session with lucero..great bbbj and butt licking for an extra 20 . The girls are average but for 35 soles who gives a shit.

There is another brothel I was told called "el arbolito" located in san martin de porres which is a rough area. That goes on 24 hours I was told. 20 soles gets you a chica. I haven't been so I can't vouch for it.

There is another area close by in san martin de porres called "habich" which is an avenue. If you go to habich between blocks one and two I was told they are girls there standing outside of hotels for 20 soles. I was told better to go around 1pm or later.

Close to habich is an area called los olivos. Go to a plaza called "mega plaza" . If you go to the opposite side of the plaza you will see alleys (callejon) with little hostels and chicas outside for 20 soles beginning at night 7pm. I haven't been but this is what I've been told.

That is all I have for you guys. Sorry to bore you with non pro tales but that is something I don't get a chance to do too much and it has been working like a charm for me. I love lima. The people are great the food is fantastic and I am making alot of new friends. I hope to make many more. There is a good group down here. I look forward to being in contact with them.

Anyway, for those of you who don't already know this: If you try to book a LAN flight within Peru from outside of Peru, such as here in the US, you will get an outrageous price. For ex., from here I found flights from Lima-Arequipa-Lima to be $441. So I went on the SPANISH LAN site, not the international one. Their quotes were around $123, something like that. I go through all the forms and info, and it keeps denying my credit card.

FINALLY, I get the number for the LAN office in Lima. That number is: (51-1) 213-8200. It's a lot better if you speak Spanish but if you don't just push the "english" option and you'll get an agent who speaks poor english. Anyway, I was able to book that same flight for a grand total of $97.50 round trip, and I received my confirmation five minutes later.

Point? The phone is still better for some things than the internet.

FYI

I love LAN. Unlike other airlines they only charge you a $50 fee to change your ticket. Also you don`t have to pay the difference in the new fare. If I buy a ticket to lima I only go on LAN. The planes are in great shape..beautiful staff etc.

DO NOT take them to argentina since they stop in lima and you are bound to have a delay. Otherwise thumbs up for LAN.

I had the same problem using my US issued credit card on the Lan Chile site and went to a LAN CHILE office in order to get Peruvian prices on South American flights. The agent at Lan told me that I needed to register my credit card with Lan Chile in the US before going to South America. This is to protect and secure your card. You can do it somewhere on their website though have just returned to US and have not tried to do it yet.

Locals get a better price, about 40-50% less, than foreigners.

I've seen it happen in Brasil with TAM airlines too. I was trying to book domestic flights from abroad and it was almost double the local price so I asked a friend of mine to book for me using his Brasilian credit card.

Please report on that hotel - I'm planning to stay there. And it was hard to find, since the APEC convention will be in town when I'm there (11/17-22) and most hotels are already full. Good word has it that it is "chica-friendly," and it's rated 4 stars, if that means anything.

I personally prefer the non-pro, uh - I mean "non-pro" scene in Lima - As others have pointed out it just seems to be the best way to go here. Although I can't imagine having much success without at least conversational Spanish skills. I've also had some good and bad luck with streetwalkers, and since no one talks about outcall escorts I just assume it's not a good way to go here and why would I?

I am a big fan of Relaj y Vida. The management is very professional and friendly, and the girls are almost all pretty hot and very young. HaHa Elberto...that's because getting a permit from the municipalities to put up a sign is extremely difficult and also can be expensive. Thats why from time to time you see signs with plastic over them (which you can see through).

I think part of the reason there are no maps is that it seems that anything appealing to mongers here is pretty low key and almost word-of-mouth. A friend who can find and open doors for you here is invaluable.

This even extends to regular everyday sorts of things as well. For example, nearby there is a huge garage door on a main street but no signs or indication what it might be. The other day I walked by as they were opening the door and it turned out to be a football-field sized plant nursery. They sell plants and trees both wholesale and retail, but how would anyone ever know?

I really like going to the banos turcos and some weeks go two or three times.

I personally don´t like Saunas and MPs all that much, lots of other alternatives in Lima. But I know some guys prefer those places. They are pretty much on main drags and easy to find. When you get to your hotel, go to Claro on Larco and buy your SIM chip or cell phone and stop at a bookstore and pick up a map while you are at it. Also, I think someone, maybe it was L.B. posted a map link on the forum a while back.
