I was in Lima recently and would like to comment on some of the venues mentioned in various reports in the Peru section.

GENERAL OBSERVATIONS:

Peruvians are very nice people in general, but in the low end places, there are definately some rateros. Although it didn't seem standard, GFE seems obtainable in all venues I visited. The gals are very easy going and eager to chat so. The food is incredible. Cerviche is a must try in the am and afternoon when the fish is still fresh. Other items: Bistec con Tallarine Verde, Aji de Gallina, Lomo Saltado, Papa ala Huancaina, etc.

CLUBS/BARS/MASSAGE PARLORS/STREETWALKERS

Tequila Rock. Miraflores: Has a feeling of adelitas except more of a sports bar feeling to it, with a dance floor in the middle. Girls here were generally older (early to mid 20s and above). Chatted with some girls and all seem very nice.

Emmanuelle. San Isidro: Some hot gals, nice relaxed atmosphere. Expensive.

El Trocadero. Callao: there are two separate buildings. I only found acceptable ones in the building on the right. Gals are plentiful and cheap, around 20s. I recommend negotiating time/service with the gals from ecuador. Found a cute peruvian here. GFE.

Las Cucardas. Lima: 40-50s for 30'. Some colombians here. Found a nice one here who provided gfe. Advice, do not pay upfront for any extras the gals offer up.

Relax y Vida. La Victoria. Latin americas version of the AMPs you'll find in China except with cbj/HJ standard vs sex although it's avaliable with some gals depending if you jive with them. Some great kissers here, although quality is just ok.

Relax y Vida #2. At this location, the price is slightly cheaper, but you're not taken though the sauna, bath tub which to me, is necessary for the full are and v experience. Service was still very good.

Calle de Pizza. Miraflores. Girls tended to be older. Didn't find many attractive streetwalkers while I was there.

Finnish Spa. Lince. Found a cute gal there, but the rest were dogs. Service wasn't bad. Gals start quoting high but come down very quickly.

Club 69. Surquillo: closed at 130am, perhaps for a private party so can't comment on the chicas there.

Scarlet. Los Olivos: most of the gals there were a little too chubby for my taste.

Anaconda Bar. Los Olivos: Some decent chicas there quoting 30s. Some very drunk lower class peruvian guys here during my visit. Keep your guard up here.

Street gals behind Polvos Azules. La Victoria: some old hags right behind the market. Some younger ones a few streets back. Heard the chief of police installed some hidden cameras to shot photos of the patrons. The taxi driver that took me there stated his friend got robbed by a pimp hiding out in the closet of the hotel room.

David33. Lima: All that has been said in his forum is correct. I consider him the resident expert of Lima and also a stand up guy with some hot girlfriends he can hook you up with.

I had a great time in Miraflores this week. I didn't get the chance to do the mongering trip, however, I did get to experience the city.

I ended up paying 40 soles to and from the airport to the Radison in Miraflores. I got a great fare for the hotel at $89 per night. Their posted prices are nearly double that. Very quiet hotel. I don't think it would work out great for mongering, however, as they have a pretty heavy presence at the front door. The hotel offers 30 soles daily in drink credits plus a free breakfast buffet. The buffet is awesome. You can get their lunch buffet for about $7 a person as well and it includes a good selection

I tried the MiraBus tour and it was worth the money. It's 10 soles per person for an hour tour.

I also took a taxi to the Inca Ruines outside of Lima (about an hour) and found it quite interesting.

For those needing current information, the exit tax at the airport is $30.25USD for international flights. I am writing this message right now using the airport's free wireless internet. So far no hassles at the airport.

I found the beaches around Miraflores to leave a lot to be desired. They are pretty black as a lot of muck is washing up on shore. I do have to say that they do put a lot of effect into keeping Miraflores very clean - both at the beach and the streets. There are constantly cleaning crews very busy. Get out into the real neighborhoods of Central and it's a very different story - very ugly and dirty.

Exchange rates were generally around 3.00 even. A few times I got less than 3.00 to the dollar. Only a few times did I get anywhere close to 3.05.

Taxis were generally 4 soles in Miraflores. A few tried for 5 or 6 and a few tried for even more. Only 1 or 2 went for 3 soles. Miraflores to the nearby beach is generally about 7 soles. I overpaid the first time before I found out the real price.

I will return to Lima in the future. It's a great alternative to Quito where I live.

Went to Emmanuelle (San Isidro Av Rivera Navarrete Cuadra 4) on Friday.

Entrance 50 S, you get one drink. I had a whiskey, it was ok. Lots of girls, about 30 or more. Some of them really beautiful teenagers or early 20s. Some older with silicon boobs, or liposuction. The show is continuous, some will only take off the top, some will take also their bottoms.

You can ask the waiter to get you a girl to your table and you need to buy her a drink that cost 50 S.

The prices for everything else but watching are just too high IMO. Girls one hour in house or two hours out 120 USD, if you take the girl out bar fee is 120 S plus you need to buy her two drinks, but I think that was my girl trying to be greedy.

After some bargain she gave me her phone number and we agreed for 300 S two hours in my place. I may call her on Saturday.

Some of the girls have an attitude though. I wanted a very pretty one with huge boobs but she was unresponsive and not very talktative so I sent her back without drink or tip.

Another one came afterwards, pretty face, nice body. We talked, she pampered me a bit, gave me a nice lap dance, didn't mind me touching her. She was hot but didn't finish the deal as I thought 120 USD + 120 S bar fee is too much for Peru (no matter how pretty the girl is).

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I was looking for a good massage. David sent me a note, and mentioned that Sandra gave really nice massages. Sounded great, so I had her come over.

She was very punctual (an amazing fact in itself in Lima), and although in her early 30's, looked nice. She brought her own massage oil, and gave me a very nice 90 minute massage. Full service was off the menu since it was that time of the month. However, she gave me a very nice BBBJ with CIM. DFK and great conversation were also the norm for Sandra.

She loves DATY, and is multiorgasmic. So if you want to have a nice time, and some great action, David can set up something for you.

Although I never got just a massage, I believe that would cost 90/s for two hours. HJ/BBBJ 150/s, and FS 200/s. I also gave her extra for the taxi. I am back in the USA now. I just writing this to thank Flying ACE and David for their help. I got the opportunity to meet both of these guys but only got a chance to hang out with Flying Ace. Flying Ace is an amazing guy to hang out with and my friends and I had a great time with Ace and his amigas.

I'd be interested to know how is it at the bars and discos in Miraflores on the eve. I would imagine everyplace is packed to the gills, I was thinking about hopping down to Lima for a week of fun, the prices from JFK are the lowest i've seen in a while at $400.

Travel stuff is like second nature to me these days. Glad it worked out for him!

Having to work certainly sucks, though. Maybe I'll book a return trip to Lima next year for some more fun.

I'm pretty much a "just relax" type guy when I go on vacations. I just try to have some fun, and not try to bite off too much. I'd go to the park and read, and watch the incredible people as they talk and do strange stuff in the park.

Teenagers trying to sell me a hairless Peruvian dog, the endless Chicklette sellers, one gay guy who was either trying to sell me drugs, or himself, and the interesting people I shared benches with, were all fun.

I had PMed David a month or so before I came, and let him know what I was looking for. The first day I was recovered from my plane flight was a Sunday, and pickings are often bit tough then. He sent me a chica that was pretty nice, but not as good as the great ones that would follow.

When I posted here that I was looking for a good massage, he told me about Sandra, a 32 year old chica that gives massages, plus extras if you're interested.

She came over, and gave me an excellent 90 minute massage, and then a great BBBJ. While she doesn't look 21, she looks quite nice for 32, and has a super attitude. Nice spinner type body, intelligent conversation, and a real GFE. This was the only chica I repeated with on my trip, a total of three times! I've asked her if I could post her picture, and she agreed. So when I edit it (no face shots), I'll post it here.

I even went out to eat with her a couple of times, and went to the movies and such. Our last session lasted so long, I almost didn't make my airplane!

If you bring stacks of 20's and some 50's, you may never need to change money in the streets. Most medium sized restaurants, supermarkets, boticas, etc, all offer as good or better exchange than you find on the street.

Many won't touch $100 bills, though.

80% of the time, I changed money in the street. I got rates between 3.075 and 3.09 on my trip. Some places will only stick with the 3.0 which I avoid like the plague. The closer you get to Pizza Alley, the lower the prices I was offered. One guy had the balls to offer me 3.02! I could usually get 1 sole more than their first good price. Sundays are the worst time to change.

I never got any fake bills, but if you stay in the ML, ask Lourdes to show you the fake 100 sole bill they have. Rather hard to spot, at least for me!

I found a number of lunch time places within a few blocks of the ML. I think I liked El Parquecito, next to Tequila Rocks the best. They have a 10.9 sole or 15.9 sole lunch special. There wasn't usually much of a difference between the two. Includes taxes and tip too. You go down the long hall. They usually don't give you the menu for the cheaper 10.9 sole lunch, but will if you kindly ask for it.

I ate at places as cheap as 6 soles, and never came away wanting more food. Lot of good variety!

There is a pizza restaurant, just around the corner from ML, next to the Hair Salon (same street as Tequila rock). I think it's called Pippo's or something similar. They have a 5 sole special all the time, two pieces of pizza, drink and garlic bread. Also a good 10 sole lasgna or pasta special, and a 8 soles for 1/2 a pizza, or 15 soles for a whole pizza. The service isn't fast, but it was a good deal, and I always found the food enjoyable.

I only ate once in Pizza Alley proper, but did hit some of the restaurants closer to the McDonalds. At many, you can get a good meal for 16 soles or less.

My total cost for 17 days at the ML, food, chicas, taxis and other entertainment was $1400. I used some frequent flyer miles, and $40 in taxes for the trip. I even managed free upgrades to first class on all 4 segments of my flights on full planes. (Don't even ask how I did that!) 7 Chica sessions. 3 in room massages w/extras, 2 massages in salons with no extras. 3 movies, 3 excellent buffet lunches, and no purchased Chiclets.

Well, I just returned to the US today, after two and a half weeks in Lima.

I had a pretty enjoyable stay at the Maria Luisa. I booked the Matrimonial room, for 70 soles. The beds are a bit too hard, but I almost got used to it before I left. Some of the room cleaning is half assed. The one guy with glasses does a fantastic job of cleaning, though.

Remember to ask for a safe to be brought to your room. It's not bolted down, but kept all my valuables safe on this trip.

The night time receptionist, Lourdes and the night time security guy, David were always super helpful. They seemed to be training a mousey looking chica for the daytime, and she was beyond clueless.

Now, if they would only wire the whole hotel for wi-fi, I wouldn't have to go downstairs, or to the front of the second floor to get a decent signal. I did find a few other signals, such as Grimaldo and Red Travel during the day, and a couple of free weak signals at the back.

The on-line booking form on the Maria Luisa website is rather flakey. The 60, 70 and 90 soles rooms fill up the quickest. One daytime receptionist mentioned that the rates might be going up in January, when I was asking about a reservation for a ISG member. The night time chica didn't know anything about a price increase.

I think there there is a lot of competition in the area, and all hotels seem to have similar pricing. Unless everyone has a price increase, they'd probably lose some business.

If noise bothers you much, bring some ear plugs, as doors slamming, chicas getting pounded, or even babies crying can happen at the ML. And the tiny rolls of toilet paper they have run out quickly!

It's too bad they don't take credit cards, but I guess it would just be a big cost in the long run for them. They get nervous if you owe them for more than 6 nights.

And somewhere over the last three years, the ML has lost one of their stars. The key rings still show the 3 star designation, but outside, it only shows two. Maybe they pissed someone off?

And my final last thing I liked about the ML, is that you will NEVER been woken up by housekeeping wanting to clean your room. Leave your key downstairs when you go out if you want it cleaned. Doesn't matter if it's 5pm, or noon.

I have a friend in Lima who is giving me the inside scoop on monering there from a Peruvian perspective. He says that it is very rare to find a chica who will do bbbj. As this is a deal breaker for me, I'm hoping he's wrong. Can anyone share their impressions on this issue with me? Is one place (e.g., Tequila Rock) better to go than another?

I did not get a single covered BBBJ on the trip I just came back from, in Lima. No BBBJ is usually a deal breaker for me.

On my past trips, in 2005, when I went to the low end (15 soles) place in Gamarra, I'd say that about 20% of the ladies would do BBBJ for the basic price. Others would do it for an additional tip. Similar at Trocadero. Again, these are the LOWEST of the low end, as far as I know.

Many chicas may shy away from BBBJ, but always ask in advance, and follow the recommendations of people on the forum.
