The last time I was there, a girl wanted to charge me for drinking an orange juice I bought her and sitting with me for 10 minutes.

I had the same thing happen to me many times. I suggested they wasted my time by inviting themselves over without my consent.


The girls at TR have a DR/Colombian mentality...total hustlers.

Every now and then a newbie loner type creeps in but you never know when that will happen. I've spent many nights there searching only to find the same old crew there night after night.

Also TR is someplace you can easily blow $50 and not take anything home.

Yeah, Dave's not a fan of TR, to say the least. LOL!!!!

Doesn't change my opinion of him. He's been a very upfront guy, at least on the board, and his posts were one of the main reasons that I decided to check out the monger scene in Lima over 3-4 yrs ago. And even back then, he didn't recommend TR. He's been consistent. LOL!!!

Anyway, I enjoy hanging in the shark tank (TR), primarily because it's all an illusion, and I don't fool myself when I walk down those stairs. I like the nightclub scene. I like being able to dance when I want, and to pull up to the bar, when I want. And I like calling girls over to shoot the shit. And I hate paying salidas to a bar.

I don't mind the sharks. I know how to say NO. In fact, I've been cool with several of them over the years. I know what my price point is, and I let them know my level of interest. I just let them know that early, and if they are still around when I'm ready to leave, we come to an understanding on price for TLN. If not, I'm okay with going home alone, even though that rarely happens. Some of the sharks will sometimes even come back to the hotel for free. It happens, depends on the nights and how you've treated them.

David, I like and respect you. I think you know that. While I know that you really feel the need to disparage TR, I would submit that those with good negotiating skills and the ablity to spot the sharks (yes, about half or more of the girls there), one can do very well there. I have been with about 10 girls form TR, and most have been great..YMMV, and it does depend on your skills at choising...I don't only rely on TR, as you know, I find women in many ways...Some of us, however, like the fantasty of a pick up bar, and the dancefloor..half the fun..

I will be in Lima with some other mongers starting May 14th, during the Presidents' meeting. Looking for opinions about how difficult this will be, in terms of girls, and services (restaruants, Taxis). Staying at the ML (booked two months ago)- this will be trip four, so I know my way around- speak Spanish very well...Interested if the little mom and pop comedors will be open, and if any of the nightlife...If not, it might be a few days for incalls, semi pros, and Pizza Alley..

Thoughts? And before you ask, NO, I we cannot change our dates..

I was in Santiago Chile, last November, when they had the same gathering and the only problem we initially had was to book hotel rooms but we finally managed to get them and in good price.

Everything was working normally there except some road blocks creating some delays during certain times when they move from one place to another.

Also security issues on the hotels, usually 5*, that they are using.

All cafes con piernas and night clubs were working as usual.

Who knows? This is a first for Peru. I expect that things will be difficult, but not impossible. Getting around will probably be tough, roadblocks all over the place. Might be able to waste your time and money in TR, down the road...if it is open. Incall from websites is very very ify.

Thank you, brother. I'd seriously written Lima off of my short list of wkd trips this year because of TR was closed. It's like going to Rio to monger, and Help wasn't available. Too much scrambling at night for the right spot to party and definitely score.

The Miraflores TR location isn't for everybody, but I liked hanging with sharks. Jumping off a plane, showering, then heading right into the lion's den for a night of debauchery???

I'll be there soon enough now.

For those who are interested in bringing in more than one girl at a time; for example a mother/daughter duo or a couple of sisters, an apartment is the way to go. Usually much more discretion and nobody telling you "only one girl".
