There is now a middle class in Peru which was not there in the old days. All over Lima there has been an increase in prices for everything.

There still is a below poverty class of people but the average monger will not be going into the hood to find them. It is true that some teachers (not to mention secretaries, salesgirls and the like) still barely make the legal minimum which is S /. 850.00 (About US $ 265.00 nowadays), but the enormous growth in tourism and sex tourism has increased the P-4-P rates amazingly as of lately. A 6 - 7 points outcall to Miraflores will average 200/250 soles (about 60/80 USD).

There are cheaper options in the ads, no doubt, but they are not-so-pretty high-mileage girls, working either at chongos or incalls at the outlying districts; even a visit to Cucardas for a very short (less than 20 minutes) session will cost you more than 100 soles when you take into account the entrance fee.
