Last time I was in Lima was 5 years ago and it was very good, prices were asli able and it was easy to get to knoww no pros from amigos. Com, etc. I and the last 5 years I have been mongering semipros and no pros in Colombia and Philpines.

I decided to go Lima at the end of this year because the air tickets To Lima from Miami are the same if I were go to San Jose or Medellin. So I bought he ticket before doing my research, and after doing some reading here and in the Spanish blog perutops I'm amazed how bad things seems to be in Lima, the prices seems to be very high compared to other countries and the quality doesn't seem to be like it used and The fact that Colombian girls are working in Lima is a bad sign (colombians seem to be in every corner of the world) why in earth Colombians are in Peru and why anybody will go to Peru to be wih a Colombian is beyond any logic.

It is obvious that in general our hobby is not what it used to be, third world countries are becoming richer and our countries are becoming poorer and the Chinese and Indian men are desperate looking for woman as they killed many of their own, however, it seems that the deterioration in Lima has been more steep than for example in Colombia or Philippines regarding pros and nonpros.

In my opinion people paying $200 short time in Peru is outrageous and it seems that this is the norm in places like tequila rock, also in the past I had a very good response from girls in amigos. Com so far I had none.

I contacted David and I hope he will be able to assist as it seems that he is the only one who knows how I get the Gems in Lima, I'm getting mentally prepared for a disappointment so I'm planning to enjoy the ceviches and the saunas.

Night 1 when I arrived late there weren't many other choices than Tequila Rock. I spotted my take out choice upon entering, but stood at the bar to watch the parade. In the big scheme of things on a US$ basis, lower cost countries like Thailand is $65, Philippines $50, Cambodia $30 (cheapest I know of) , Costa Rica $80. $100, Mexico $60 + $12 for the room, etc. So if you can get a great girl in Lima for $85 you're still doing OK. Of course all of these countries have streetwalkers which cost a lot less, but that's just not taste. Mid-priced Amsterdam at 50 E for 15 minutes 1 position only, FKK in Germany 50E (probably the best IMHO). Compared to London at $300++, Macau $300, USA $200++ not to mention what I read about Dubai. Life's still pretty good for us in most places!

Totally agree prices have gone up in Lima. Tequila is just a rip off for non-locals and the strip clubs are always going to be expensive no matter how you try to negotiate. Best bets are David's for non-pros or Troca for cheap pros. A friend who just came back from Lima stated that there is a big influx of colombianas and ecudoreans at Troca with many of them young and hot looking. We'll see when I get there.

Its close to everything. Los Olivos is too north I reckon, and Central is too dangerous at night. (just read all the threads when people say they are talking about the Sheraton near polvos Azules. You are talking about streets WORSE than the Sheraton).

San Miguel is a happy middle, there's a whole bunch of spas like a few blocks from Plaza San Miguel, and being a middle class / upper middle class area its not too bad. You could also look at the San Miguel club blocks, they are centred around Tequila Rock in San Miguel when you go over the bridge past the Military Hospital.

Los Olivos away from the boulevard just looks hectic. I was looking to stay someone there when I used to go to all the cumbia super-clubs (well super parking lots LOL) at the Los Olivos roundabout (where Super Complejo and the other Complejo is). I felt safer to go back to Miraflores. At least San Miguel is only half the distance. Wierd fact. Anaconda / the other one is directly behind Super Complejo LOL. I used to love my "fuck and club" sessions haha.

Oh the other good part of San Miguel. Troca. It is literally 5 mins away. You could catch the bus (as you would be staying within a couple of blocks of Elmer Falcett) , and another just past Minka. Or just pay 8-10 soles in a cab.

For Polo's just go to Gamarra. There would be a much bigger selection than Quinta.

I was there last October (13 months ago). I didn't see much difference other than the Metropolitan bus service.

I agree with La Marina. There are a few hotels that I was looking at.

What will stop me from returning to Lima for the moment are the reports on Perutops. Last night I read on the Las Cucardas thread that guys are getting quoted 100 soles and entrance is up to $11 US. Lots of girls from Colombia and Ecuador from what I can tell. That usually is a bad sign. One poster mentioned " Who would be dumb enough to go there anymore " ? I believe it since every trip it kept getting worse for me. I gave up on Las Cucardas a long time ago.

Every barrio has a brothel but traffic is a ***** and you need to dig deep to find these places.

Are budget hotels in the 30/40$ range no longer to be found?

Do they still sell high quality polo shirts at la quinta in Miraflores for $5?

I am talking about pfp places like the trocadero la nene las cucardas la roca anaconda etc.

Got into town late last night. My driver from the airport waited for me to check-in, change & wash up. I asked him to take me to Tequila Rock but he said he knew another place. I don't have all the time in the world to RTFF, so this might have come up. He took me to Sweet Barranca. Really nice club inside. But you need to pay 120 sol to get in, which includes 1 drink. Small crowd. A few girls. I talked to 2 of them. The first was a little too big for me. The second was 24 with a really tight body, but small tetas. It was getting late so I figured I would see what I could negotiate. Not much! $100 US for the room onsite + $200 US for the girl. I asked about taking her out to my hotel to avoid the room charge, but she said it would cost more and that she would have to be back at the club in 1 hour. I said too expensive but she kept at it. I finally said I needed to talk to my driver who was waiting. And went outside and left. 50 sols for lady drinks.

That would depend on which restaurant and what you ate. I'm a pollo a la brasa guy and the place I eat at in front of the park has a special for 9 soles or so. I don't do much P4P in Lima. I have too many non-pros to cover.

To me Lima is more expensive than 4 years ago. It's not just from the exchange rate being stuck at 2. 60 either. When I used to stay in Miraflores at Las Palmas it was 89 soles. The last time I walked in they were talking 139 soles. (I just looked on the website and now it is 153 soles.) I have been staying in Lince right by the movie theater ever since. There is no difference in the rooms. Actually IMHO the ones in Lince are better for half the price. You can take the bus a straight shot for 1 sol if you have to go to Miraflores for anything.

I wouldn't stay in those areas. I guess if you stayed in Los Olivos you would be closer to Troc.
