    1. Yes avenue colmena is also nicolas de pierola. I wrote that in one of my reports.

    2. If you are going to the trocadero for the first time by combi it is a good idea to get off at "plaza minka" get food and take the 3/4 soles cab ride inside the compound.

    3. I know las cucardas has daytime rates but what is the deal with 40 soles at night ? Its been posted on the boards that 50 soles is the new rate...which is it ?

    4. I knew tequila rocks would break your heart.

    Initiations

friday, day 1. during the flight from iquitos to lima i wondered to myself “if you parachuted through clouds would you get wet?” observing past river scarring on the rainforest floor was of interest. the best part was seeing the snow-capped andes without a cloud around. upon descent lima, of course, was buried in clouds.

landing at the international airport completed a twenty-two month loop around south america. the airport looked smaller than i remembered. grabbed a young fag roadside and shared a taxi into miraflores for 10 soles each. found a bed in a family house for 15 soles. snarfed some kfc, aaahhhh, better than a needle of heroin.

caught a few hours sleep. at 11:45pm i walked through the door of tequila rocks. stayed till 3am. during this time i noticed two fuckables. one immediately wrote herself off with a sit, asked my country then for a drink. i said no, we looked each other in the eyes, she understood and left. looking down at the table i wondered how many guys steal t-rocks ashtrays.

for me the nicest, prettiest chicas in the place were two waitresses. i will probably pass through t-rocks on a weekly basis to scope out the action but i am not pinning any hopes on it. most of the chicas there are physically disproportionate -- and disproportionately cash-hungry -- for what i like.

saturday, day 2. after a nutcase started vacuuming and polishing the floors at 7:30am i changed hostals. though i have been following the lima board on and off for the last year and a half i took to re-reading the last 60 pages. between internet reads i took a walk to the miraflores cliffs to watch the handgliders and parasailers. wandered larcomar mall.

i had a bit of a panic attack at this point and wanted to bolt for the bus station. i asked myself “what am i doing here?!” with a central issue being one of inspiration. lima, as a city, is not inspiring. by comparison cities like shanghai, rio de janeiro, istanbul -- these are are epic-styled cities. all one has to do is step outside to be awed. (even quito has my beloved volcanos gently smoking around it.) in literary terms they are similar to the tale of satan approaching and questioning jehovah in the book of job. lima, however, is a city designed by mental-midgets. a sprawling, repetitious two-story slum. in literary terms it is a comic book or cartoon, kinda along the lines of mr. magoo.

i spent ten days here in 2006 so the usual tourist itinerary was done. t-rocks, lima’s most high-profile hooker bar, was tame. i had just come from the sunny amazon to find lima buried under cool clouds. hmm, i obviously need to collect my thoughts, work out a plan of action.

on the positive side lima is cheap, particularly after expensive brazil. walking the streets people look at me as if i am a rock god. hard to be displeased about the attention. there are certainly innumberable cute, slender spinners walking the streets but, i questioned, will i find them in the chongos?

at night i continued my musings in café z, pizza street, browsing bars and clubs along and around av berlin. bierhaus was probably the most festive place.

sunday, day 3. mid-afternoon bussed to central lima for a look, walking many of the streets i did twenty-two months ago. after megacities like sao paulo, rio, buenos aires, i was amused at how small everything looked here. it didn’t look like this when i started my south american tour. bought a lima city map for 10 soles; miraflores shops wanted 20 to 26 soles for the same map.

walking out of central in the evening along av nicolas de pierola to catch a bus along av tacna, i noticed a series of blue neon lights. hmmm, are these the places artisttyp mentioned? the “ave colmena” kind of threw me off but i believe it to be the old street name. 1 sole entry. 5 sole beers. small dance floor areas ringed by shy, polite guys embarassedly reaching out to touch some ass. girls do one or two-song strip dances. i hit six of these clubs to take a look at their chica selection. a couple pretties caught my eye. at night, between the clubs and porn theaters, there is also a handful of (female) streetwalkers along here.

to my surprise i don’t find central lima as much of a shithole as i remembered it to be. i guess i have seen much worse since then. it being so cheap perhaps i can find things to do here …

monday, day 4. bussed to av tacna, walked over to and along av argentina. recalling artisttyp's thought i do have to say this about mongering: it takes you to neighborhoods no normal tourist draw would ever take you to. i walked down to what i thought would be calle 18. after an hour i gave up trying to find the trocadero, hailed a taxi driver for help. after him asking a half dozen people, including pulling up to a police cruiser filled with cops (me thinking “wtf !!” -- the cops were highly amused), i realized via my own notes troca is not in centro lima but callao.

as a consolation prize he drove me to nearby la nene and las cucardas. my brief notes are:

la nene, next door to las cucardas. entrance 5s. fifteen to twenty rooms surrounding a small central bar area. monday 3pm six chicas on duty. none to my liking.

las cucardas, ricardo treneman 875. corner of cuadra 9 and av colonial at av argentina. entrance is 20s, get one cuba libre or pop (beer is not an option). 10s small beers. printed wall posters explicitly reveal two shifts: chicas are 30s from 9:30am-5pm, then 40s from 5:10pm-2:30am. two halls of about forty rooms. on monday 3pm ten chicas on duty, upgraded to 15 after 5pm.

in las cucardas i found a couple decent chicas, one i sampled. her name being claudia, 19 years young. classic indian beauty for facial features, long black hair, slender, small bum. the kind of inca doll that made sailors decide to set up camp here permanently 500 years ago. combined with mirror visuals of my cock in her pussy, and her being my first lay since rio, i shot like a high school kid. she didn’t smooch but i may take her for a second spin down the road.

these motel-like hallway setups are not my favorite style of chongo. there is no kind of festive environment in these places. i have to do the walking to see the talent. by comparison quito chongos centralize it all: you drink cheaply, can sit down and relax, the selection of girls are constantly around you, the odd strip-tease, porn and music plays. i like this concentrated, intensified effect. hallway chongos dilute the party.

i stayed after 5pm to watch the shift change. a handful more girls showed up. the original ten girls merely changed rooms, dragging suitcases and cabinets up and down the halls.

at 5:30pm i jumped in a taxi for trocadero. this place is epic!! i was more impressed by the troca than machu picchu.

for some reason i did not walk down the first one-tier hall after admission, but crossed over into the second two-tiered hallway to peer into its red-lighted depths. my first thoughts? “holy fuck! this is where indiana jones, at the end of the first movie, hid the ark of the covenant! i have to find what room it is in …”

yes, the troca i like. finally something conceived and built by a peruvian that impresses. despite my dislike of the motel hall setup this place is huge enough to accommodate a wide variety of tastes.

and beers are cheap here, 6 and 7 soles for a large (paying 10 soles for a small beer at las cucardas gets kinda pricey).

at 8:30pm i crossed over to el botecito. i write “holy fuck this place is like troca but seventy years after a nuclear holocaust, the chicas being mutants after seven decades of hard radiation exposure. look through the floor grates to the dungeon below; it is whispered ex-helpee girls lurk among the shadows.”

back into troca. picked lisbet, 20 years young, 20 soles, of guayaquil, ecuador. been in lima seven months. as i flatdogged her instead of seriously playing porn queen she ooh-ed and aah-ed while laughing, huge smile on her face. in turn i found it amusing and a fun session.

11pm had me on a bus to centro. on the way i noticed more neon around the 2 de mayo traffic circle. catching a connection to miraflores noticed a tequila rocks bar at about 1000 av brazil.

my take on the directions and details to troca and botecito in callao district are:

trocadero club, at the meeting of avenida argentina and avenida a. palacios, two blocks from traffic circle ovalo centenario. 1859 av argentina is the entrance, 1849 av argentina is the exit. white façade. across from blue wall compound 1882. cabbies know it as “troca” with a pump of the fist. entrance 13s, chicas 20s (15-30mins). a huge warehouse, two halls. first hall is one-tier. second hall is two-tiered. large beers 7s. shopping minka, lima’s largest mall, is a handful of blocks away. open 3pm to 10-11pm. i walk in and out of the compound during day and night; the walk looks tame to me.

la botecito, entrance sun-tues-wedn 13s, other days 10s, chicas 15s (15-30mins). same yard as troca. similar setup to troca but more doomed looking. open 3pm to 10pm.

tuesday, day 5. because troca is in callao, not centro, there is no reason to bus to centro. standing in front of the saga falabella department store on av jose pardo in miraflores simply step into a bus marked “callao.” as expected the buses skirt the city’s coastline all the way to callao, taking forty minutes. i have yet to find the exact stop for a quick cross-connect to av argentina but this route is a lot more direct to the chongos.

true to form i hit troca for a second consecutive day come its opening at 4pm. sampled tamara, 21 years young, of manta, ecuador. been in lima one month. petite and pretty but distant. great jiggly ass visual for flatdog.

in between squirts i looked over the talent. i would say on a regular day there are a handful of fuckable 6.5s and 7s. they are not beauty queens but neither are they ugly. thus for 20 soles, roughly 666 pennies a fuck (how evil is that!), it is still some damned good value.

at least in troca i can have some cheap beers and find a couple (concrete) benches to sit down on, gather my thoughts. there is no festive atmosphere to elevate one’s spirit, making for somewhat dull in-between-session time. i mean in two days i have seen only one guy with a beer in his paws: me. i guess i could find a mirror and party with myself, but ugh, this smacks of desperation.

one of the employees of troca, a young man, is named jesus. the girls up and down both halls are constantly calling out his name. it amuses me to no end. “haysoos!! where are you?! help me!!” he runs from room to room attending to the needs of the girls. such is the benevolence of the savior.

at 8pm i decided to hit the upstairs walk. hmmm. there is a short, squarish chica standing in a doorway. fully clothed. the body is not what attracts me, it is the cute as a button face framed by her hair. she is a little bit shy, from a rainforest town, lived in lima a few years now. 150cm in height. normally i would not go for her physical features but her innocence and smiles were delightful.

angela, 21 years young, was a solid session. she kissed and made it plain to see she liked having me inside her. exactly what a guy needs to kick a session to the next level. i exited troca with a smile on my face, satisfied with two new pussies for the day.

at 9:20pm i exited the bus at the 2 de mayo traffic circle, curious to explore the neon-ed bars. i think i poked my head into five bars here, two which were populated by partying males. these bars are the same setup as the bars along av nicolas de pierola (“ave colmena”), except no entry fee, 5 sole large beers, open 9pm to 6am (!). a couple pretty, slender hotties present. i briefly chatted with valeria (me: "what? malaria?!"), a 19 year youngin’. she provides males company for talk, no more. after ten minutes the question of a ten soles cuba libre came up, i played dumb to not understand, and with the bar filling with new males she moved on, leaving me free to move on to the next bar.

11:30pm caught a taxi to san miguel to scope out tequila rocks. pretty quiet on a tuesday night. chowed down then taxied home.

    Gentlemen,

Sorry to break up the acromony. Early Dec embarcing on my fourth trip to Lima in the past year. I have actaully enjoyed Tequilla, and mostly found it fairly easy to find good GFE, TLN for 200-220 soles. It seems, things have been changing. Well, I do have some numbers of past "freinds, " will frequnet the Troc and La Nene, and will have my daily lick fests at R & V.

However, I do lament the news on Tequilla, as I do enjoy the hunt as well. Any suggestions on other places to look for freelancers?

For context, I speak Spanish well, and have 20 years expereince traveling in Latin America, and am fairly street smart- I don't need to stay only within Miraflores.

    Not to change the subject

but if you are in country you should be aware that this Sat is Ley Seca and Sunday all business is shut down till 6pm. In addition while we are not allowed on the street, guys on tourist Visas will be allowed to travel around once the census takers have interviewed you in your hotel, apartment, etc.

On the street you will be required to present your passport and the form stating you have been censed!

Most people will be doing the private party thing Sat night as we do not have to be in our houses till 8am. Besides sales, consumption of booze sat night is prohibited.

The area around the airport could be a bit intimidating @ first, if it's not what you're used to, but once you get to the "nicer" areas of Lima (Miraflores, Barranco), it isn't all that bad.

LOL, exactly!!! No way in hell will I submit new places to these boards, and rightfully so. Some dudes can't even handle the old ones. Rather, they're getting *****-handled in the old ones.

With all the information generously posted on these boards by long-time mongers, and crazy shit like $100-200USD quotes AND acceptances still occur? I can't place the blame on the chicas. Tequila Rocks chicas aren't the most educated, nor worldly.

Anyways, if we bump into each other there, I'd be happy to buy you a beer.

Definitely going in the wrong direction, mostly thanks to the tourons with more money than common sense. Used to be a cool spot for decent fun at reasonable prices ($40-$60 TLN). Luckily, I've found the other versions of heaven on earth.

    Hard time in Lima

    Hello boyz,

I had a hard time in Lima. Checked out a few places. Relax Y Vida was the first place I went to and it was pretty decent. Cost was about 130/s approximately $45USD for everything including FS. Checked out Tequila Rocks as well. Can confirm the price of $100 to 200. I can't believe I paid $200 to have them stay all night. I think was because I was buzzing. I regretted it big time the next day. In general, if you don't speak Spanish you are going to have a hard time in Lima.

    Thanks!

I've been following these pages for a long time. I just want to give a thanks to all you guys that post here more as well as less. It has been, and is, a great help to me, both regarding the general differences of culture as well as specifics.

    Please explain

    Hoofhunter,

What exactly are "the other versions of heaven on earth"

That´s why God invented normal girls so good looking guys did not have to pay.

I have been to Tequilas hundreds of times and as most know I have only once taken a girl out. My game is to get their # and promise to call when they are not working for a normal date although I never do. Each time I go back these girls come to me and ask why I don´t call. But that is me as most girls can´t hold a candle to my wife and I prefer women to chase me (much more fun) and the reverse of the USA.

As far as pricing in the past couple of weeks friends have paid $70,$60, and S/.210. Last Sunday ( a bad night to go) there were more guys then girls and a friend pulled for $70 for ST.

The ¨bank¨is a underated place to go and most guys pay S/120. Obviously the dollar is having effects way out of proportion to it´s recent percentage drop. People are in fear of taking a dollar at night as it might lose value by morning. The obvious winners are the Europeans and more specificially the British. Three years ago when I was told the Loonie would reach parity with the dollar I thought they were crazy, Now young Canadians are buying up apartments around the new embassy & Europeans are snapping up the Malecon units.

The current govt bought 4 billion $ last year and $8 billion so far this year to prop up the dollar as a strong Sole will have negative effects on the economy
which has been the miracle in LA. Unfortunately the flood of dollars into Peru due to exports and tourism can not be stopped.
