Just a quick report about last saturday.

This Easter I went again to the district of Nickerie. Every year with Easter Nickerie is packed with people from Paramaribo and other parts of the country, so it gets real busy in this normally small and boring city.

Visited Dragon Friday night and was totally shocked! The place was dead!
There were only a few girls, some which were completely ugly; and a bunch of even uglier looking guys. What had happened to this place in just a year’s time??? After a few minutes driving we arrived at Green Dolphin. The street and neighborhood appear to be very dangerous. I immediately concluded that this has to be a shit hole and right I was. As we approached the door, the watchman told us that the club has just closed. However, he let us in so we could see what it looks like. Definitely a piece of shit! There is a huge room packed with chairs and tables just like in some cheap restaurant. There were still 3 girls in there sitting at the bar. All of them extremely overweight. We left in just one minute. Will never again visit this “club”.

My friends brought me then to Hotel Diamond. As mentioned in my previous Nickerie report this is not a division of the great nightclub Diamond in Paramaribo. It is definitely bigger than the other clubs in Nickerie but nothing more than a cheap imitation of Diamond Paramaribo. As I entered I noticed that they tried to imitate the interior and the atmosphere of Paramaribo but it is a complete failure. The music was very bad, very loud and with a very bad sound quality.
