i would disagree that the saxo and magnifique girls are that much less attractive than the "glam" angelus princesses which i essentially detest but that's a matter of personal taste.

I see that post are a little slow about Caracas, mostly by the actual situation, but I can give some advice as a native.

First, the most visited area in caracas for hunting are Plaza Venezuela, Sabana Grande and recently Chacaito, all this areas are "in line" trough the Casanova avenue. Is in this same avenue are the most girl friendly hotels (and some of the really-not-so-clean, except the case of the Meliá Caracas and two or three). By this avenue, specially past 9pm (21Hrs) working class girls start to show at bars, street walkers and in some hotel doors. Be beware of thiefs if you plan to scout by foot.

By the Shell Gas Station in the Casanova Avenue, there's two famous strip clubs: Magnifique and Saxo. those are a little cheaper and with not-so-cute girls than the well known Angelus but in a lucky night you might find two or three good looking ones.

Following the Avenue's end toward the east of town, you will pass near Chacaito Mall and really close to a McDonalds. in this Square, a varing group of good looking girls appear mostly after 10pm (22Hr) and with good "offers", they seen to be testing this area of the street, checkit out before they flee

Parallel to this avenue, is the avuenue "Libertador". long time ago was the spot for picking "street girls" but now is 99% infested with Shemales.

I realize most of this is in past postings, but could one of you Caracas pros give us a quick summary of what you would do, knowing what you know now, if you were going to Caracas for the first time for a week. Just a few sentences with the best hotels, clubs, prices, would be great. Thanks!

Not to quibble, but whilst the Tamanaco may be "on the fringes of the city" it remains close to the main places of action (at least for us turistas), less than five minutes by taxi to the Doral, maybe 15 minutes in traffic to Morrison or Angelus or Saba. And walking distance to a lot of good bars and restaurants (should one dare cross the street)... and a quick taxi ride to the nice places in Altamira, etc., so...

It's a lovely hotel overall, but my main reasons for staying elsewhere are that 1) it's old, with small rooms; 2) it's expensive in USD, though that's Caracas in general (I once got nailed something like $300 at the Eurobuilding for a POS regular room); 3) the girls I've pulled from clubs don't like to go there, because as I noted earlier, they apparently get shaken down (that said, I've had at least three ladies in the place -- walk them to the taxi, and all should be fine. A tip for the doorman or security guard never hurts, of course, anywhere.

Just to clarify that I'm not quibbling, I'm with you, Catire -- Marriott or Embassy would be my places of choice, but I understand business travelers don't always have a choice. (That's how I've wound up at the Tamanaco more times than I care to remember.)

OK, there's also a relatively new place, the Four Seasons. Hideously expensive back when I last looked into it, and I know nothing about it's "friendliness," though I think that in VZ -- as in other places -- this is more a matter of appeasing/fending off/tipping the security guards as you walk your lady out. Claro, YMMV.

agreed that Embassy Suites and Marriott are much better from a location standpoint. At the Tamanaco you are on the fringes of the city. I've never stayed at any of these hotels, but had a friend who stayed at the Marriott and I visited him several times.

The Inter-Continental in Caracas is better known as the Tamanaco, an older hotel but in a good location in Los Mercedes. IME, girls from the clubs are reluctant to go there and prefer a "hotel transitorio", but I believe that's because they usually get shaken down by hotel security on the way out. If you assure your lady you will safely see her to a taxi, there shouldn't be a problem.

Personally, I would stay at the Embassy Suites or the Marriott, which are both girl-friendly. The CCCT Best Western is friendly as well, but the last time I was there the place was falling apart due to poor maintenance.

Mark SOS, almost all of them are guest friendly, assuming you don't bring in obvious streetwalkers.

Every girl, whether from an agency or one you grab from a club, will have appropriate dresswear to wear on the street or on premises.

If money isn't an object, for you, then I'd recommend the new JW Marriott in El Rosal. (it will run you slightly more than a $100 a night)
