if you want to tip. a tip of 5K bolivares should suffice, (to the doorman as well) and if you want to tip 10K bolivares (which is a let's say 4 bucks), you are being VERY generous.

Don't fall for any bother bullshit scam.

I always made it a point to generously tip the bartenders in the locations I hung out at. That, and being a regular patron guaranteed me excellent service and treatment, even though I mostly came in to drink and chat, rather than take the girls up to their incall rooms for the one hour.

Generally speaking, I think that covered BJ's occurred around 1% of the time for me, but as in all things, Y (our) M (ileage) M (ay) V (ary)

It seems this hotel is near many things, I would like to take a walk and check Plaza Venuzuela. How late are things happening there? Aso one other question, can I only exchange money at the airport? Things may have changed, but the Doral used to be incall only. As stated, if takeout is possible it won't be cheap.

However, IME all the chicas have been receptive to lending their phone number for independent follow-up following an in-house session. Might be a strategy to consider if you find something you like.

Also, be aware that CBJ seems to be the house rule, though that might be negotiable in an off-site follow-up.

As anywhere, you may wish to tip the lady for services rendered. Also, you may be asked to drop a few thousand Bs for the maid, and the doorman would also like a tip when you leave. He may open his palm to show a $20US bill -- this is only a suggestion, so you don't need to reciprocate, but for the sake of courtesy you should give the guy a little something.

Chazman, an American bar called El Doral will be directly across the street from your hotel.

From the outside it looks like a very nice hotel, and I suspect you will be happy with it for 62 a night (though I am sure you would have paid up to 25% less if getting it locally, and your savings might reach as high as 40% if you were to change $$ on black market and simply pay in bolivares. Understandably, not easy for a tourist, especially a first timer to do/arrange.


I'm not sure if you can take a girl out of El Doral, it's probably possible but the salida for such a thing will be fairly steep, probably 150K bolivares (for which you'll get a bottle of champagne)

If you stay on the bar's premises and use its own adjacent ove motel, you will probably pay anywhere from 110K to 140K for your one hour's worth of "pleasure".

Paid 62 a night. It seems to be in a good area for mongering. Now i have flight and hotel, any drivers available? I hope to set up something for the first night, i will arrive at around 9pm, It would be nice to have a chica set up already and waiting at the hotel for a all nighter. look back in the Caracas theads. I mentioned some possibities about possible hotels. There are several four star hotels that should suit you nicely.

There are no "houses" with girls, however there are so called "American bars" and most girls in stripclubs also available.
any taxi driver can take you to those.

an hour in say an American bar will run you around100K + , which is a ripoff because the girl only gets about half of that money, the other goes for room and some alcohol which you are required to buy.

taxi price from airport - if you take ripoff tourist taxis stationed outside, the officially "sanctioned" taxis - between 25K to 30K bolivares. You will note that not a single Venezuelan takes these. If you can take a normal taxi - around 15 K.

Both viagra and cialis are available. There are also good viagra generics which are very cheap. Go to any pharmacy.

OK, I have just picked up my ticket. Continental EWR to CCS. Will arrive July 5th. Need to find a hotel. What I see here is that everyone is talking all high end hotels. When I have traveled to other places, I have always found chica friendly places for about 50 a night. There must be some place near all the action. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I also seem to understand that the official exchange rate is 200,000 to each 100usd. Now i must go black-market to get 350,000 per 100usd. Can this only be done at the airport? Or can this be done elsewhere. How do i know it is real money and not monopoly stuff?

I can second the recommendation. I was in town three weeks ago and recommend the service as well as the price (around $100 USD).

I stayed at the Embassy Suites which I also recommend both from a location standpoint and visitor friendly standpoint.
