Forget CTG unless your into annoying touts. OK, Tony is riot to hang out with just as long as you keep him in check, but after saying no the 10th tout on the beach it gets a bit annoying.

And then they wait outside bars, cafes, rest. for you.

Unless you don't mind the constant harassment go to Barranquilla! Its one of my favorite spots all time I went there 3 times in 6 months. I can't talk this place up enough.

Actually upon reflection, I would agree with most of your sentiments. I guess I've never seen a "10" in LDV, if you are comparing to maybe a Playboy bunny or Miss Colombia finalist.
Having said that, I have seen the 8's and 8.5's in good supply every time I've been there. (Ok, this is like maybe 8 nights total, so maybe I was lucky.) But I do want to say this is a strict scale, I'm a picky guy when it comes to women and what I'll pay for.
I guess I was just enthusiastic about CTG, I think it's a pretty good place to monger, especially if you're interested in non-pros. The caliber of chica you'll see just walking down the street will keep your head on a swivel your entire trip. The working girls will do their best to make you fall in love, and they're good at it.The touts are annoying, but if you stay away from the beach you'll avoid 90% of them. The cost of everything else is dirt cheap, your money goes a long way there.
The danger in CTG is minimal, no more than any other big city. I could be wrong, but I would rate CCS as much more dangerous from the tales I've heard. I know no one who has been mugged or robbed in CTG, can't say the same for Caracas.
I'll be in CCS the night of the 7th, then on to Puerto La Cruz for 6 days. Hope to have a good report when I get back. I'll be happy if I can find the same quality of chicas in PLC as is in CTG :-)

Thanks for your response. CTG does look tempting. It sounds like nothing in the world compares to the Brasilieras - but I do like to travel, and mongering in different countries is a good objective, I think.

I guess Brazil and Argentina are "easier" and hence my enquiry "is it that good to make the trip to CTG or CCS ?". If I am passing through that's fine, but is it worth targetting CTG or CCS as a destination for getting good looking girls into my bed.

In other words, taking into account the "danger" in both these places (and the touts in CTG) and the additional hassle of getting there, I wonder if the attraction should be because the girls are the best or just because they are different.

I agree with you. I didn't see a 10 in LDV.

It has been my experience that upscale Massage parlors are better to come across the better looking girls. And the girls know how to do what they do better.

I would say that I only saw two tens, maybe three in Bogota. One is the girlfriend of a succesful race car driver [Or, maybe I transferred my fascination with race cars to her.] The other was a Sofia Vergara look-alike [See Rob Hay, "look-alike" ;>)] in a massage parlor. It's insane, I can still go throught the experience frame by frame. Yeah, that what a ten implies.

Hmmm...while I have been going to Colombia for years and love Cartagena as much as anyone, I have never seen a "10" working in LDV. Obviously, this is a subjective call, but I would say that the VAST majorty of LDV mujeres range from pudgy, older women a few years past their prime (I'd rate them about a "4") all the way to young (18-23), new, and lindas chicas who I'd rate in the "8" range. Sometimes, you'll find a couple of 8.5's.

But I certainly wouldn't go to LDV to find the mystical "10" - for if she is truly a "10" (which, IMHO, means flawless), she'll last about 5 minutes in Cartagena before some foreign tourist grabs her or she becomes some narco's novia. The main advantages of LDV chicas are their awesome attitudes and consistent GFE's IF you're a half-way decent guy. Me extrano Colombia y Venezuela muchismo!!

As far as a non-pro pick up bars in Caracas which are more "down market", I would recommend "Alcatraz" Discoteca in Las Mercedes. The girls there are usually middle to lower class and are very approachable. I've had great luck there especially on Monday nights which is ladie's night. By the way, this is Catire's discoteca favorita. :-)

Pass on Cartagena and you'll be passing on heaven on earth.
The disco called "La Dolce Vida" in Cartagena is full nightly with solid 7-10's which can be had all night for about 50 bucks.
Brazil is off the hook, Argentina is good but expensive...

Reading through this section, it appears that despite the reputed good looks of the women, there isn't that much to look forward to from a mongers point of view. I am planning my multi stop South American trip and I am not currently inclined to go to Cartagena or Caracas (or elsewhere in Venezuela). It looks like all the action is in Brazil and Argentina...or am I mistaken ?

Hey all. Looking for help here again. Catire and all you others in the know. I met this hot girl on line and we are going to meet. The problem is it is not in Caracas. I will have to take a plane to Puerto Ordaz. Can I just buy a ticket when I arrive in the airport in Caracas, or will it be more expensive. I found some sites that show the fare as 200usd.

The second problem I have, is she wants me to stay in a expensive hotel in Puerto Ordaz. Mira Best Western is 120 per night. I found another near that is only 60 a night. Does anyone know a hotel near the Mira that is cheaper, but ok looking.

I dont think I will have time for any excess wandering, but this is not a sure thing. She is hot, more mature, and not desperate. So while GFE may happen, I want to have a back up plan.

One place where my attempted modelizing did not work was in Barranquilla, COlombia. I attempted to pickup a former queen of Carnival name Catherine Lafaurie....she can be found on the site

The people of Barranquilla are amazingly friendly and I was just taken aback by their hospitality

The other agency was next to my hotel. A couple weeks before I went I purchase some addresses of the girls. When I went to the office I found that some of the girl's addresses were wrong so I got a little annoyed and they let me go through their book of girls for free and made calls to set up dates for me. It was an older women but also very nice and friendly and I highly recommend it
