I have been all over the world but I have not been to Venezuela. OK, lets say I go to Carasus. I stay at a nice hotel. For the things I buy can I pay with dollars (which I would prefer) or is itm necessary to have my dollars conversated to Bolivar? Can I pay for pussy in dollars?

Back in August 2017 the government decriminalized the use of foreign currency for transactions, and thus nowadays it's possible to openly pay (and ask for payment) in dollars. In fact, I know a few shops that give their prices in dollars, since it is much more stable and they don't have to update the prices daily (or even a few times a day) as they do while dealing in Bolivares. So, yeah, it's perfectly possible to pay for everything in dollars. In some places you probably will need to speak with the management, but most will be more than happy to not touch devaluated bolivares. The drawback is that you have to be carefu on exchange rate involved, as you may find the occasional "vivito" that tries to charge you using the official rate instead of the black market rate. Also, bear in mind that 5 star hotels by law have to charge international prices in Dollars to non-venezuelans.

Elaborating on that, El CLub de Baco is in the tail end of Avenida Casanova, one block away from the intersection where it becomes Avenida Tamanaco. The place is inside a very nondescript building, but above one of the entrances it has a sign with the name "Club de Baco" and two cartoony female devils. The neighboring building is a cheap hotel called "Hotel Broadway", and turning left at the end of the block you find the Colombian consulate.

It has been mentioned before in the thread, but to make it clear: Dolartoday isn't anymore the definitive source for this kind of info. Hasn't been for months, really.

I already posted a couple of alternate twitter accounts dealing with the black market, which give an estimate using various sources like bitcoin traders and such. But ultimately it's just that, an estimate, you get the rate that the person you are dealing with wishes to offer (and you are willing to accept). That currency converter you found is using the official rate, which obviously is not the way to go.
