for the visitor to caracas, i have always recommended the "estudios" or massage parlors of the city.

The problem is TIMING. When I went it was 4.6 or 4.5 but it has been falling rapidly with the decline of the dollar.... last time I was there I only got 3.6...

There was a monetary reform at the beginning of this year, and Bs. was changed to BsF. Bs 1000 = BsF 1.

The official exchange rate is BsF 2.15 = USD 1. The black market rate is now at about BsF 3.6 = USD 1.

I was in Caracas a few months ago, here is a re-cap.

Non-pro? I checked out all the malls and at no time did I get lucky. I am used to giving & getting "the eye" in other places but no dice in Venezuela. Conclusion - forget the malls!

Divas & Angelus - I was turned off by the shitty attitude of the girls & the ridiculous prices they were quoting ($200 US plus!!!). These are tourist traps for ugly old men.

Noche de Ronda - in the basement level of centro commercial Chacaito. Open from about 1pm to 10 pm. This is a great option. The selection is hit or miss and there is only 1 room on site. They will ask 320BsF for 30 minutes but you should be able to negotiate down. Pretty safe location so it is always worth looking at.

Sabana Grande - Right at the end of the boulevard there are a bunch of bars & hotels. I had my best luck at one of these. 250BsF for 1 hour, 2 condoms,girls & room.
