No, you shouldn't be afraid to go to Caracas. Yes, there is some political instability right now, however, if you avoid the marches/protests, you'll be fine. Some good advice is to ask a local what is going on and then do what they say.

It's funny but CNN and FOX News make it seem like Caracas is in the middle of a civil war, but it isn't nearly as bad as they claim. I'm not saying it won't happen here someday (and maybe soon) but right now, it seems as if the national strike is losing steam and the Opposition will have to wait until August to try and oust Chavez constitutionally.

By the way, chicas here in Venezuela are real cheap right now as the Bolivar has fallen to about 1900/US $1...

I live in florida and I want to fly into Caracas on the 14th, already have puss selection and she will meet me at airport. Should I be afraid? Could I maybe stay away from the city and be safe?

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, due to the crazyness going on in Venezuela, I've had to change travel plans and will be headed over to good old faithful Thailand instead. Although I have a couple of British friends currently travelling around in Venezuela who said things are not as bad as they seem, I didn't want to take the risk of getting caught in Caracas whilst getting to Margarita (I don't speak any Spanish). So yeh, bummer, but all things considered I think I've made the right call.

Gonna miss that Latin Style pussy though; I was looking forward to that like nothing else...

Thanks again for all the info Jav, I plan on getting over there as soon as things get better, and I will post all experiences.

Hey Tomster,

You'll like the hotel. You can certainly use Marshall's services regardless of where your room is. When you come in the main entrance, just bear right so the front desk is on your left. Follow the hallway around, and you come to the executive side. Maybe 200' total.

Or, simply call the operator from your room and ask to speak to him. I'm sure the others are helpful, but I KNOW he is.

Stayed at the Eurobuilding hotel. The night consierre is "Marshall." He was a terrific help. He first tried to make some phone calls for me to girls from
