The Canadian Consulate sent me this morning a response to my query as to what are their recommended testing location and tests. I am only including those valid for the North Coast. By the way, CMC in Sosua only does the Antigen test. Not valid for flying.

Acceptable tests.

Proof to board a flight.

All travellers coming to Canada must present proof of a negative laboratory test result for COVID-19 at the time of boarding. Failure to do so will mean an automatic denial of boarding by the airline operating the flight to Canada.

Hey MysterR thanks for the info. In researching I also realized that the DR appears to be extremely generous in their attempts to attract international tourists during this difficult times. As seen in the insurance form below, free medical coverage is presently provided until March 31st, for international tourists who fly into the DR and check-in a hotel. I wonder if this will also cover for the Covid 19 test. I guess it will, since the information that you forwarded does make mention of passport to be presented for the test. Reading through, for covid they appear to be asking a doctor's requisition as well as insurance. They also mention that IGG / IGM (no idea what these are as I believe only PCR is acceptable to the airlines as prescribed by US authorities) tests do not require that and also does not have insurance requirement. Hopefully others will chime in and the testing labs will wake up to this new business.
