Well this is why I was so confused about who was actually the culprit.

The cell phone I noticed missing within 5 minutes of us entering my room. Because we were talking about cellphones, and I had brought some extra ones with me. So I was looking for one in particular. Nowhere to be found.

So, it fucked me up a little bit. But I had this hot chica (my first in this room).

So we finish our session. I walked her out. Return to room to relax. Then an hour later decide to hit the stroll. Look for my envelope of money. Gone.

Now I never knew I left my loot out in the first place (had I realized, I would have stuck it in the safe in front of her). And when paying her, I didn't need to access that envelope.

So Occam's razr dictates simplest answer. I figured the same thief stole both. Which excluded her.

Notified security guard, who was pretty useless. I didn't involve the police yet. Needed time to analyze this shit. Have a few friends in SDQ and POP, called them and discussed with them.

Decided in the morning I would make shit hot, make a scene while management and guests were there, and call police in the morning.

Morning comes. Damn that toilet is still leaking. Never leaked when I first got there. Jiggle the handle. No effect.

Open up the tank, and shit there's something in there. Some stupid chica threw her tampon in here or what? Pull it out, and it's my money envelope all wrapped up.

OK, so now finger points more toward that chica vs hotel staff. But the phone. Was definitely not her. So two things happened? She stole money and I lost my phone? Odd.

Retraced my steps that day, asked around about the phone, of course no success.

Next day, I'm looking through my suitcase for something, and there's that damn phone. I had stuck in somewhere in the middle of my suitcase I guess in a rush to hide it on my way out.

So now the facts. Only money is missing, envelope in toilet.

Now the chica. I played dumb with her on the phone. Still texting her oh baby I miss you blah blah blah. Didn't see her the next day, but she was texting. Everyone telling me oh you will never see her, she's gone. She's knows you're here, and she'll be back in a month when she knows you're gone. Day after I'm walking on the stroll, someone from behind yells 'oh papi!' turn around it's her running up to me to hug me.

I checked out the DR embassy website for residence visa requirements and among other stuff it asks for:

Notarized Letter of Guarantee. Signed by a Dominican or a legal resident alien in the Dominican Republic specifying the type of relationship with the beneficiary of the visa.

Does anyone here know if this is strictly enforced or have you received new without this particular requirement?

Another thing I am not sure about is the requirement for ALL documents to be "apostilled". I went to the closest federal district court clerk to get that done but they said they only "apostill" their own issued documents. My Q is where do you go for that?

In the US look at the website of your state's Secretary of State office and search to find details and requirements. It's roughly the same as notarized but under provisions of a treaty for international documents.

It's fun, no doubt, but it is meaningless. It's possible the longer it goes on the more you might be thought of as some mark they can exploit or try to take advantage of, simply because we stay in touch even though it's a fallacious representation on both sides. Rest assured, if a chick looks like something, chances are she has a regular thing going on DC, meeting men, getting fucked good, taken out to eat and have fun,traveling, getting away from the house, and getting some form of compensation. Cash being the optimum reward. Best scenario is hoping the guy is sucked in good, and decides to be a WU novio too. Then repeat. She can juggle as many guys as she wants. All she has to know is your plans to return. With none of those other cats the wiser of what she is capable of. This is how enough of them survive, especially since many don't have a steady job other than hooking up with men for a living. Overall point being, dont get too caught up with these internet babes. Make your arrangements shortly before you get there, keeps the BS down to a minimum, have fun, and move on to the next.

Thanks for the heads up. For the time being, I am enjoying the chase. I've gotten a few numbers (some give quickly without a request, which makes me think they are semi-pros or full pros. They are hot and meet my search criteria though, so I might still follow up when I am on the ground!). For me, the key to being grounded with DC dating, is to arrange hookups shortly before I travel to the DR.
