Damn man. Don't know what cabanas you have been in. Does DR even have 4 star hotels? Jaragua I guess. But years ago when I was in a cabana with a chick and started getting claustrophobic because there were no windows, she described a cabana as just being a fuck box, a box to fuck in.

Thanks for the reply. My flight is 9 hours long so I'll be pretty tired when I land. So from my understanding, cabanas are stabbin cabins. We will have luggages with us. How safe are those places? Don't want unwanted attention.

I would consider going to a Cabana in Santiago 20 bucks for 4 hours. Santiago has some decent talent roaming the streets. I have a Uber hook up who could take care of you. Chill out there and go Sosua in morning 190 pesos Santiago Las Colinas, Caribe Tours leaves every half hour on the hour. I checked the schedule and the buses run all night from this locarion. Rockys was real low budget. Try Europa it will be an upgrade.

Hey Sammy, first we have to get your mindset up to date Sir. You are still thinking it's 2009 if you expect 25 usd hotels, and you probably still think it's 20 usd pussy. I think Rockys has been closed awhile now, and honestly it was a dump. Only thing still the same in Sosua is the beach. New Garden, Casa Valeria and Europa will serve your accommodations at prices from 38 usd to 70 usd. No more girls getting 20 usd for a weekend stay, now it's 100-200 an hour or two. Even the Haitian girls are asking top dollars, the game has changed bro.

At 11 pm arriving in Santiago I would recommend staying that night at Matum hotel and catching the bus to Sosua in the morning. You seem budget conscious so what you would pay a cab 80-100 usd for a night trip to Sosua, you could pay a nice hotel in Santiago with breakfast and still have money for the bus ride.

In 2009 Sousa was reaching its peak and it was paradise, don't expect that Sosua.

Ok fellas so the last time I was in the DR was I believe in 2009. Had a great time in Sosua and Puerto Plata. I live in Toronto, Canada and the flights to DR are long, expensive or both. If I get an AI package it can be a little cheaper but the issue is ypu can't bring girls in.

So I finally found a ticket for about $600 CDN going to Santiago. I'm planning to go to Sosua right after we (me and my wingman) land. My question is, is there a bus that goes to Sosua around that time? I'm a Cuban vacation veteran but new to DR. Any advice will be appreciated and I will return the favor. Thanks.

Coming back to my original question AirBnB or Resort. I decided to go with an AirBnB and take it from there. Remember, my main intention is not mongering but relaxing. I will report back in the PuntaCana section of the board when I am there. Stay safe everyone!

For newbies BB is a dream come true for Americans. Young attractive girls are point and click for 40 50 bucks a pop. The fact that the attractive girls are in high demand so you have to wait is acceptable. Until you go to Sosua and see scores of willing girls many more attractive then BBs chicas. Everyone has their own standards and requirements. I try to get the best of both worlds I go to SD and hook up with my whatapp girls. They give me GFE which I enjoy. After a few days in the Capitol I long for the streets and beaches of Sosua. This gives me a chance to meet new girls to add to my roster. The vast majority of Sosua girls give you your moneys worth. Yes there are a few bad apples but they are the acception. Thousand of guys post up in Sosua because it is lots of fun at a great price.

But I stuck my head in Blackbeards. If I was new, and I was expecting something exciting, I would need a 60 ton crane to rise to the level of disappointment.

I'm not knocking your suggestion, it may be a good idea. And you probably know a lot more about the place then I do. And like I said, later that same night it could've been an entirely different scene.

BB is simply a motel in the back of a far off neighborhood and they have chicks hanging out there. I think it does it for the guys that go there because there is no haggling of price or chicks trying to rip them off. It is pretty much a controlled, hassle-free mongering environment opposed to the "in the wild" environment of Sosua where chicks are apt to steal your shit, jack up the price afterwards, and call the police on you.

I can't see any real case made for Boca. The sea is polluted, hotter, higher crime etc. Want a higher end, then go to the capital from the airport. Folks who fucked up in Sosua usually praise Boca as some kind of a nice spot. As for Punta Cana, yes, can be done, but double the cost with half of fun, and some sea weed in between.

I've spent time in all 3 places, and checked out BB's one lunchtime.

My choice by far is Sosua, for the reasons given here many times, but obviously some folks find it a "shithole".

So for a newbie, I just mention his options.
