P.s. BB...why stay there? Comfort zone? what comfort zone? Most of you are heading into foreign land to begin with for the first time and leaving your comfort zone behind! If you really want to jump into the mix and real action, stay in Sosua at one of the monger friendly places and roam around and be pleasant. You will find many that you can just pick up and take back for a good time....guaranteed!

I was there same last week of nov 2004, just missed the bikini contest with 30min, but catched my plane, I did not bring the print out of the sticker price, but as far as I can remember it was 1300st/2600lt. Ok they seem to charge 4k for gfe/24h. However I paid 3k. Of course Peso

This seems to be quite steep though for the girls.

You will find a review of the place in the sosua and the puerto plata section.

I General, jup, they are more expensive, but i still did not mind paying that luxury tax and do like the tranquility of the place.

Will be back next year. However then i will also try yo be there last weekend of the month (Bikini party).

Oh and yeah there were some big bottomed girls too, but i prefer the slender ones and GFE, so can't tell you which one of those excelled.

Play, to each his own and you have to decide what you like. Many of us like to be in the mix of the local scene and action. However, if you like your experience packaged for your convenience, then BB is for you. Everything is on site and you don't have to leave. Get up, eat on site, sit by the pool, chicas on-site at R$1500-$3000 (although I think they lowered the prices?), go right to your room, shower, sit at the bar, play pool, eat dinner.

On the other hand, in Sousa you never know where you are gonna score - stay at the palace, walk out on the street, go to the beach, Shark bar, rocky's, M&M massage, Passions - pussy everywhere and for varying prices. You can get what you want for R$500-$1000, just try. Just so many options in Sousa, that it seems like the best way to experience it. Or at least, spend 3 days at the Palace and then 3 at BB!

Dear Play02,

The town of Costambar where Blackbeards is located 25 min west of Puerto Plata. The town is very nice, but remote for action. Blackbeards and El Principal are the only action there. Prices at Blackbeards are fixed at 1500st and 3000lt. El Principal 2000lt plus 500 Pesos Salida. Unlike Sosua, which you can walk from end to end, Costambar requires cab rides. I spent March,May and Aug at Blackbeards. In March I will be in Sosua, for a change of pace,lower prices and more action.

I have several questions. I plan on staying at Blackbeard’s but some of you guys keep on insisting on Sosua but I can’t find a guide on Sosua HELP?

Also say I want a DR chic to come to America to visit how hard is it to make it happen?

Finally I am a man who likes nice BIG brown round asses will I be disappointed like I was in Mexico(50% chance in Mexico that the pants are making her ass look nice and big).

Where are the best places to find chicas? The clubs like Blackbeards, how is it inside? Is it like a go go bar? Thanks for any help there.

Prices vary from say $30USD to over $100USD for FS. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Add an incentive to the mix...the better she performs, the more you will donate...start low.

Sosua has action all around...on the beach, streets, at the bars, in the casino, etc. Why stay at Blackbeards? It's an ok place to visit in the day just to check it out, but its out of the way from all the action. It's no go go bar. Its a hotel with chicas on site that try to please you for donations. Looks nice inside and out, but again, far from the action.

Hurricane season can be a bit dry down there for action...storm season picks up the most around August to November I suppose. Someone correct me when if am wrong. Also the best time to go I would say would be during Semana Santa....week of the saints...April..holy week...whatever we gringos call the holiday...the beginning of April...Easter!

Lots of chics come from all over to Sosua to Party...some dimes!

Quality can be had just by walking around and saying hello. You have to get around to all the places...Puerto Plata, Sosua especially, the capital, Santiago, etc.

So I have been to thailand once, never to India or Cuba or the DR.

I have an opportunity to spend 4-6 weeks in any of those areas in about a year and half.

I thought maybe I should save the DR and/or Cuba when I can only take a short trip (week or so) since by being base in Thailand I can hit Cambo, Laos and even India or vietnam.

Can anyone make a good case for changing my eval? Prices? Quality? Extras? Entertainment?

I'd avoid the place like I would a crack head in DR. It's distant and remote, but if that is your thing, go for it! You'd be better off in Sosua for a few days and then onto Santiago and the capital. Much better selection and quality!! If you must visit the place, take a day trip there to see what its like in real time.

Driving - Don't do it if you don't have too. It's pretty cheap to hire a car, diver or taxi to take you wherever you want to go and you don't have to worry about those CRAZY Dominican Drivers. I have been all over the world including asia, europe & other latin american countries, and Dominicans take the prize for the WORST drivers. If you are only there for 3 or 4 days, you can easily hire a taxi by the hour/day or evening and you can relax & enjoy the scene.

If you want a quality experience for your group, try Blackbeards Adult Resort http://www.blackbeardsadultresort.com near Puerto Plata although not 4 star they are quite good by DR standards and your group will be guranteed a good time.
