I will be on my first trip ever of this kind (adult vacation) to DR for few days in July. I will be traveling from US.

I have some question to experts to help me out there.

(I tried searching but get lost with so many threads)

1. How do I carry money ($) to DR. I will be staying in AI resort and have to pay them money.

2. How to carry any kind of medication (vitamin C, V and some over the counter tablets)

Can I put them in check in luggage?

3. I am planning to use ATT cell service and will be staying in POP.

How is coverage there?

4. I will have to make international call other than US. I plan to use Vonage.

This Vonage will have a US number, so I will use ATT to call the Vonage US number and the connect to other destination.

Any one has used this?

5. When you call from DR, is it possible to trace where you are calling from?

Yes, it is annoying. It seems like the site uses some kind of cheapware automatic grammar correction that has many bugs. I can't say I blame Jackson, and it probably does eliminate many errors.

There is a way round it. Post your post, then proofread it, and you still have about 10 minutes in which you can edit the post and make the necessary changes. This way you can override the automatic grammar correction.

For example, if you are asked for an I'd card, just look at this sentence and you will see I'd displayed correctly.

Thanks for the tip, and I will certainly use it if I need to make reference to an ID. The problem is that I most often see it in posts by others, and I can't make them edit their posts. Nor would I want to. It would be nice if the software didn't make this erroneous "correction" in the first place. Ah, well.

Can the bags of Ice you buy from the store be trusted? Or does it still work the same as "don't drink the water"? Wanted to have ice for my liquor, but will pass if it is just going to mess me up internally.

I use ice in my bar drinks and never had any problems. I never brought a bag of ice from a store but I'm sure the bars use the same distributors. I also never had issues from the restaurants or chicken shacks food.

I think it was supposed to be a joke. Just think about how pills are manufactured in large batches.

Oh no, this time no joke. I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry. I learned that in the manufacturing process pill dosages can be homogeneously distributed, if a pill has a stripe that eases the pill to be cut in half then dosage on each half are similar, if not, the pill is not intended to be cut.

Generally when a pill do not have a stripe in the middle the dosage is not homogeneous and the pill is not recommended to be splitted, one half can be of a very low dosage compared to the other.

The problem (for me) with La Pela is that they do not split well with a pill splitter. I do not need the entire pill. When I try to split them they just get all crushed up. Don't have that problem with Cialis.

As a side note, you probably shouldn't trust any pills being peddled on the street.
