I just told passport office in Washington state that I was going to Israel and then later to Saudi on business. No problem.

That is a classic. Saudi Arabia would not permit visitors with Israel entry stamps. It has not changed in at least twenty years, looks like.

I use two cellular phones in DR, Galaxy S3 and Iphone 3. I 've got Sim Card for Iphone 3 long time ago at Claro in Santo Domingo airport and for Galaxy S3 a few months ago at Claro within la Sirena in Puerto Plata. I had a date last night and she did not show up. I called her and call did not go through same with text. I thought that I ran out of minutes. I rush to get minutes and she could not charge, there was something wrong she could not figure out. I bought minutes for back up Iphone 3. It was charged but calls did not go through. I went to claro within la sirena in Puerto Plata and I was told that I have a bad sim card. She wanted to give me a new sim card with new number. I did not want to get a new number and I went to main claro store next day. I was told that both phones were not under my name. The owner of phone number of Galaxy S3 called last night and cancelled everything and I could not keep the same number since I was not officially owner of the phone according to claro. There was no other option but to get a new sim card and number. Same with Iphone 3, it was not under my name. She corrected both. I strongly recommend everybody to check on the screen to make sure phone is registered under their name when they get a new sim card. They ask the passport and check everything but then use a local person's name to register the phone for whatever reason. Be aware.

Supposedly you can obtain a duplicate passport, I. E. Having two passport books concurrently. This will solve your "prying eyes" problem. One you can show the wife and one where the DR Colombia Thailand Philippines stamps go.

It's my understanding to get a second passport you need to present a travel ticket to an area that would cause problems, IE, Israel or a Middle East country? I do not think they would give me a second passport for going to the DR, Colombia, ect. Anybody had any luck getting a second passport with presenting a ticket going to a tourist destination?

I'd be wary of not having your passport stamped by DR immigration. It's a visa and represents your permission to enter the country and proof that you exited the country in a timely and proper way.

Good news! According to the USA State Dept website: "Beginning January 1, 2016 we will discontinue the service of adding additional visa pages to USA Passports. Requests for additional visa pages may only be submitted until December 31,2015.

Passport holders in need of additional space in their passports will need to renew their passports by mail using form DS-82. If you renew your passport from outside of the United States you will automatically be issued a larger 52-page book. If you renew your passport within the United States, please indicate your preference for a 28-page or 52-page book by checking the appropriate box at the top of the form. There is no fee difference for book sizes. ".

I had extra pages added to mine back in May. You can only add extra pages once. You can tell them where you want to put them to put the stamp. Shouldn't be a problem.

Hey EstebanH how did your blind friend did in Sosua last year with the puta immersion expedition. I bet he did well being that he is a martial artist. Since most drivers are blind in the DR, I want to buy him a motoconcho. No one will notice that he is blind and if he crashes he can kick some ass 😀.

I am trying to help a young friend out. He is a 22 year old guy who wants to move to Dominican Republic. He asked me for help because I travel to other parts of central / south America, but I have never been to Dominican Republic. This young guy is very outgoing and resourceful but he is blind. He is also a martial arts expert (trainer) and can handle himself very well (he is actually a deadly guy if he has an issue). He thinks he wants to move to either Santo Domingo, Santiago or Puerto Plata. Ideally, I want to get him set up in a Spanish immersion course (he speaks no Spanish). I think helping place him in a home where they help with the Spanish immersion would probably help. He is a not a monger and wants to find a girl friend.

If any of you guys can help me, I would appreciate it. I would really enjoy speaking with you by phone. Please PM me if you are inclined to help. Thanks in advance!!

I've learned the hard way that you need to have back up, and back ups for.

Those back ups, and back ups for those former back ups as well.

I try to have them visit me around 2 pm, so if by 3 I have serious doubts then the back up gets triggered!! And if that seems doubtful or complicated the next one gets triggered.

It's always something. Rain, baby sitter or don't have money to come etc etc!

It really requires patience for GFE's and like a sales guy you need to read the tea leaves, and think fast on your feet!

Next time Sir catch the 7 am metro bus, it makes less stops and gets you closer to Sosua. Hope your trip improves.
