EMT accused of [CodeWord125] his new wife was set up, says lawyer.

Elwood Thomas, a 20-year veteran of FDNY, is charged with forcing himself on 34-year-old Dominican wife. But attorney says accuser told hubby 'You better go through with the green card or I'm going to go to the police. '.

The lawyer for a veteran FDNY paramedic who's accused of [CodeWord125] his new wife defended the first responder as a man who got framed when he tried to divorce her before she became a USA Resident. (code 125 is an ISG censorship issue.)

Elwood Thomas, 50, is charged with forcing himself on his 34-year-old wife. Sometime in the summer and again last week, but defense attorney Oliver Storch argued Tuesday it was a bad romance, not a violent one.

"he married a younger person and sometimes love doesn't work out," the lawyer said after Thomas was arraigned in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

The woman is from the Dominican Republic and has been seeing the EMT for eight years before getting married and moving here on a fiance visa in July, Storch said.

It didn't take long for marital trouble to emerge.

During their honeymoon in Atlantic City, the woman asked for extra cash and was rebuffed by the civil servant, who's been working as a medic for 22 years, said the lawyer.

"It went downhill from there," he told the judge.

Storch claimed the wife told his client, "You better go through with the green card or I'm going to go to the police" and made good on the threat when he started planning for a divorce.

In her complaint, she said that Thomas twice pinned her down and had sex with her in their home as she said "No," according to a source.

She reported it her mother on Nov. 6, a day after the second alleged incident, then went to the hospital and the police.

The defendant's relatives stood by him and called the allegations "completely false. ".

After hearing from the defense lawyer, Judge Danny Chun allowed Thomas to be released on a $5,000 bail. A fraction of the $75,000 the prosecutor asked for. Chun said the bail can be raised if Thomas actually gets indicted on the first-degree [CodeWord123] charge, which carries a 25-year maximum sentence.

"This is a very strange occurrence," Storch said, adding that the city employee, who's been suspended for 30 days, intends to clear his name.

"he's in the business of saving lives. "

The problem with all this is that even if he is acquitted, at the criminal level, outside of the legal cost and embarrassment (hey, it showed up in the newspapers), it is a legal problem at the job. He is in an administrative investigation (30 day suspension) and since it is based on criminal charges it can exceed the 18 month limit of the investigation. He will be lucky if he beats the administrative charges in less than 18 months. Now he has to fight not only for the 30 days in pay but also for time and leave (vacation, sick, and holiday- which is not much) and pension credits (if one is not recorded as working a certain number of hours a year one will receive part time, rather than full time, credit for that year, which translates into less money into the pension and he will receive less on distribution. Many who go through this are not aware of this until they retire, in which case it is very difficult to correct!). The good thing is that he has civil service status, in which case he is entitled to due process. In plain English, they cannot just fire him.

Also, once these charges are made his wife will exercise her legal right as a survivor of domestic violence, request, and will be granted citizenship regardless of anything he does for her. DV is a category that accelerates and exempts many from applying through the normal process for residency or citizenship. What I would have done in his situation (besides the obvious of not getting into the situation in the first place) is set up a situation of recording her making these threats. He has been seeing this woman for eight years and all of a sudden a [CodeWord123] allegation occurs? The writing on the wall is obvious and this is why the judge lowered the bail. This guy has two legal cases he must deal with. Even if he wins this at the administrative level (and something tells me he will) it permanently stays in his job record and sometimes the agency will try to use this to set up a pattern (whether he is right or wrong) if there are any other difficulties with him, in the future. I've seen it happen and a buddy of mine is going through something like this right now (we were talking about it as recently as yesterday, although the allegations are not as serious). The good thing is that the EMT worker has been with the agency over 20 years so he can easily retire whenever he wants.
One would think that after knowing someone for eight years one would know the person enough to avoid all this! Like they say you never know someone until you live with them! Actually, I've seen this guy before.

Thank you Mr Gogo for the link.

    1 hour of Nagua

After doing last month Thursday and Friday in Sosua, we decided to leave instead of giving Saturday. As we were passing through Nagua we saw Chino on a motor scooter at the light and he stopped us. Chino is a boca Chico hustler who was kicked out of Boca Chica for a few months for dealing with some drugs and a Tourist. He was telling us that we need to stay in Naqua because it was a non tourist area and we could get any girl we wanted for as low as 500 pesos. I did not want to just stop for a few minutes but the guys insisted. This is why I hate groups. Chino introduced us to some very nice looking chicas. I told one chica that she needed more friends and she actually went running down the road trying to find more friends. In about 30 minutes she rounded up about 4 + three were in the salon. They range from 6 to 8. They look hungry and very excited 4 out the country entertainment. 6 Americans walking in the area was something that they would not use to seeing. Mr G. This is great non puta action. An endless supply for visitors. It was Saturday in Nagua and I remembered a little what Camero wrote. Saturday is the party night. Gino said he can get us a good rooms for a thousand pesos. I was ready for Nagua. Then E and justice begins complaining about their finances. They just were ready to get back to Boca Chica. T join in with them. I'm asking them why the hell did we stop and wasted a hour. I was disappointed but I went with the group. I would have told them to leave me but I rented the van. The van was already on a spare because of those damn potholes driving on the north coast. You cannot avoid them without driving in another lane or swerving to a smaller pothole. I almost wish I would have went Santiago's route. I chose quicker time over smoother route. I am definitely going to Nagua's this month.

It's not about the money it's the respect! Amen bro

I was talking to a chick today on what's up (pre-trip prep) Told me she from small town and her mom is sick and can't work, dad is dead, and she will have to skip college this semester cause she can't afford it. Etc. All within 30 minutes of chatting. But NEVER yet asked me for anything. Cause I took ctrl and steered the conversation towards her town / country economics: salaries, unemployment, job opportunities. Etc and she never asked for money. I feel she understood that she is lucky to find a 5000 pesos salary working 10 hrs a day six and half day in a store as she spelled out herself.

It's about respect and economics: supply, demand. Etc.

Not taking sides but I don't think GM1 was being rude! It wasn't a personal criticism but more like the act itsel!

GrownMan1, I was once quoted $50 by a Cuban girl inside a taxi siting right next to me: I laughed and screamed inside the taxi, opened the door and ran down the sidewalk laughing and screaming in intentionally exaggerated shock. Just to make a point to the jenitera how out of touch she was! Girl and driver were startled and neither one attempted to get me back!!

In what economic paradigm is it acceptable to send money for unmaterialised / unrealized goods and services is beyond me!

    D Cupid is like fishing

DC can be a great source for getting new girls on the roster. Sure sometimes use have to cut the line but when you hook a keeper it is awesome. I am a couple a days from being in the DR and I have been working a few ladies I met on DC. One of the hot ones who lives in Santiago wants to come to SD to meet me. Now she sends pictures that more provactive. Now you know panities are coming off. BINGO She mentioned she likes perfume deal closed. She will be on my territory which gives me more control. First two days I have 2 DC girls coming to SD. One is a long time chica better known as the other sister. For guys who know my roll this will be funny.

After these two it is on to Sosua for sport fucking. I LOVE the DR.
