    Dop.

On 29 January 2019 received 50.2 DOP to 1 USD at Vimienca, S. A. Located in the La Sirena Autopista de San Isidro No. 3, Santo Domingo este. USD is still hanging tough against the DOP despite all the fucked up shit going on in my country of origin.

Sounds about right to me when you are dealing with prostitutes. Prices are going up. V's have entered the market strong and know the exchange rates. USD is over 50 DOP to 1. These historical highs should help offset any increase in prices if your original currency is USD.

I go DR once a year. I budget my self to keep it under 1750 for 5 days with every thing.

Here is break down per day.

    Flight is 400.

    Hotel is under 60.

    Food and drinks unlimited 60.

    Chica 150 for night.

For 1 hour 2500 peso for overnight 6000 to 7500 peso.

However prices are on the rise especially chicas.

    They know their game lately.

Booty bill: It's the most fluid thing and although I know exactly how much I spend on them (I use a spreadsheet to keep track of all of my expenses) it's the least important expense. I share the lives of the many girls I interact with here. I see the injustices they face living here, the resource poverty, the mistreatment at the hands of the males in their lives (family, boyfriends, husbands). When you really know what is going on you realize that a little goes a long ways here. In in my opinion, just passing through for a few days does not allow one to know this no matter how many trips them make a year or how long they have been visiting.

I always work from a tight budget

I make 5 or 6 trips per year so I can not afford to over spend. I save money on my flights POP is about 250 more then SD or Santiago. So I often split airlines and look for the lowest flights. I always catch the bus if I fly into SD or STI. Spending 100 bucks for a cab makes no sence to me. I enjoy the bus ride after the flight it is relaxing for me. If I land in SD I spend the night. The 2 or 3 hundred I save pays for my fun. When it comes to girls and recreation I cut no corners. I bring trinkets for the ones who please me and eat like a king in my favorite restaurants. Including airfare I spend about $1200 for 5 or 6 days which is a long time in Sosua for me. I do atleast 2 girls a day sometimes more. If I fly into SD I have one of my go to girls meet me and spend the evening together. I go to the mall movies and sometimes dancing. These meetings are often the best sex of my trips. Breakdown upcoming trip. Flight $450 Round trip to POP, Hotel 220 4 nites $120 for food. $400 for girls and 130 miscl. Total $1200 dollars. This trip I am flying out of NY area airport so my flight to POP is 200 less then my local airport. I.

I was just joshing with you, SP. I hope you have a great trip whenever it happens. I have always mongered on a tight budget, more so than 90% of the guys here, I would guess.

I will be in Santo Domingo during this time, but I usually do my mongering in Boca Chica which is like 30 min drive from Santo Domingo.

Its about an hour and a half ride. Or $20 from the airport to the bus station and less than 300 pesos for a bus ride to the Sue. It's about $40 if you use Uber directly from STI to the Sue.

Depending the time your plane departs and how long you plan on being there are some contributing factors, but if you can work it you're saving hundreds of dollars. Thats money could be spent on more meaningful things like more sessions with Chicas. I've did it as well as many others. I even have a man and Santiago if you like his number. He's a cab driver that works for a company. I like Uber it's cheaper and better because Uber is ready when you are.

Sometimes I just fly into POP and out of Santiago depending on the time and ticket price. Remember you can have the Uber driver take you right from your place in the Sue to the airport without you having to stay in Santiago. You know what time your flight is and what time you have to be at the airport so just plan accordingly. Give yourself a couple hours of window time. Everyone here is giving you their opinion and good advice. Enjoy yourself! That's the whole purpose of a vacation.
Yep, I am about to make a 3 week trip, first stop Blackbeards, the Sue, then going to plan from there. Saving about $600 flying into Santiago, but the hours suck both leaving and arriving. I wouldn't do it for a short trip.

You are having a laugh. You have been asking these questions for a month on this board and at least two others. Nothing wrong with that because our replies may be useful to other newbies, but you are the least spontaneous monger I have ever come across.

I had a German acquaintance once who got up to go to work in Hamburg. He looked out of the window at the freezing rain and said "fuck that, I am off the the DR" (except that he said it in German). Two days later he was here and resigning his job by telephone. That is what I call "on impulse" (would have been next day had a flight been available).

My overall impression of your dozens of posts here and elsewhere is that you do not have enough money to enjoy your trip. You might be better to wait until you do instead of blowing your present kitty on a half-assed holiday and having to start saving again from scratch for a decent one. Don't worry, the chicas will still be here. 100,000 turn 18 every year.

Was wondering if I could run a few questions by the Sosua veterans here.

    1. I'm flying into POP and flying out of STI. The plan is to stay in Sosua until Sunday, then leave mid-Sunday via a bus to Santiago and staying there for a night so I am close to STI to catch my flight Monday morning. Is this a decent plan or should I eat the cost of flying out of POP and just book my return flight out of POP, too? Hoping to maybe monger the one night I have in Santiago, too.

    2. I am booking this trip on a bit of an impulse, so I didn't have a chance to learn any Spanish before I head down to Sosua. Is knowing no Spanish OK? What phrases should I know if I have to know some Spanish?

    3. Suggestions on lodging? Am a light sleeper, but I am interested in Europa because seems like it's a great value for the price and hoping that if a chick tries to scam me / upcharge in the room, hopefully the security will have my back if I tip him?

    4. Have read that a few Sosua veterans like to have all negotiations on WhatsApp so they have text proving a chica agreed to a set price for certain agreed upon activities once she's in your room. Is this an adequate method of defending yourself from being upsold by a chica in the room? Any other means of making sure a chica sticks with the agreed upon price and provides the agreed upon service?
Santiago is not Sosua. Yes, there are available women, but the women are not pursuing you. It would take a little conversation. Your overnight accommodations? In a large hotel, expect to pay. Those that have casinos may have a few girls looking for clients. I would not expect much for a first time in STI.

No Spanish? Renting a car? Have any experience driving in the DR? Ever seen a motoconcho in traffic? Ever driven the road from STI to Puerto Plata / Sosua? Brave fellow.

If there are any problems being a light sleeper, I suggest bringing some foam earplugs. Very handy when trying to sleep under challenging conditions.

I checked American fares from my city, and the difference was close to 500 dollars. (God, I hate American Airlines). The departures from STI that I saw were all morning departures, so an early wake up, with little time for late night hijinks. At least the departures from POP are afternoon.

Traveling from POP to STI, you will lose a day, plus rental cost. (Consider a Caribe Tours bus from Sosua to Santiago, then cab to the hotel. You can probably get a ticket without too much confusion). A late morning departure, late afternoon arrival in STI, get settled, dinner, a few drinks near the Monument, that serves as the Santiago social center, then back to the hotel. (Arrange for a cab the night prior).

Its a real bite to pay the extra 500, but you'll have to decide if the extra day and more leisurely departure are worth it.

Flying from Santiago is a bad deal unless you want to check out the scene there. Yes, there are bars and you can get girls although not so much in your face as Sosua. I had flown in and out of Santiago couple of times but I always rent a car. Flight timings in Santiago for cheap flights are in the middle of the night. I had a girl there before who will meet me at the airport. POP is convenient for mongering In Sosua. When you are mongering you need to eat extra expenses for convenience.

If you are looking for online hook ups knowing basic Spanish is necessary. In Sosua bars where the girls hang out you do not need any Spanish. Over the years I have learned discussion about kind of service does not mean anything although I know Spanish. Some do good service and some do not depending on the girl. It is not as if she needs the rating. If you have a phone punch in the amount you want to pay and see if the girl agrees. Una hora means one hour, Dos horas means two hours. For overnight toda la noche. Mentally figure out how much you are interested in offering. Time does not mean anything for these girls. If they like you they do not look at the watch. Irrespective of the deals you made they can renege on it. If you need help there are plenty of mongers in the bar who will help you.

I like Alicia beach hotel which is away from the main road and quiet. Remodelled rooms are nice. Europa is on the main drag and noisy. If you read through the reports you see reviews on many other hotels. Do not expect any hotel security to take your side in any eventuality.

Large percentage of girls are pretty good once you agreed on the price. There are some bad apples who will try. At that point security can help but I suggest you settle it yourselves. Be firm but if the arguments get beyond and police are called you are going to loose irrespective of you think you are right. Do not let the thought of this happening kill your vacation. By and large more and more mongers come to Sosua and have a good time. Many if they overpay because the girl reneged on the deal will not say anything. Only time you hear is if the disagreement gets up a scale and police are called. You are on vacation and mongering is an expensive proposition. Deal with it. Like anywhere else people will scam you one way or another and especially if you are in a foreign country.

    Enjoy!

    How I roll

If dollars say fly out of Santiago I understand. Usually the departure times are terrible. I like staying at Sosua Suits. They will pick you up at the airport and are the closest to the action. GREat security and near evverything you need. You get a one room appartment a bit dated but the price is very decent. English is not an issue there are expats who have lived there for years who speak little spanish. Avoiding problem girls is luck of the draw when you are a newby. The problem girls are very aggressive in most cases and new guys are easy targets for them. The good news is most of the girls are very nice and will provide good service when treated right.
