In my experience most Armenian women I have met have LIGHT skin, quite pale. They usually have dark (even black) hair, but quite pale skin. They are also usually quite short with average, even somewhat stocky bodies. There are of course exceptions to every rule.

Georgians, Uzbekis, Tadjikis, Azeris are all darker.

I'm hardly an expert on Armenian women though, perhaps a more astute student of the species can provide more insight.

Interesting weekend in Yerevan a little while ago. Some notes to help those that follow:

Streetwalkers. On offer in Republic Square and around the Opera. I picked one up at a cafe on Italia Poghots, opposite the Marriott. There is a short time hotel a little further down the same street with a neon Hotel sign. Cost was 20,000 dram (US$40) for a 5/10 functional service and another 5,000 (US$10) for the hotel room. She was nothing special and expected DATY but did have wonderful breasts - a characteristic many Armenian women share.

Massage, incall. There is an advert for massage in the local English language listings paper. Cost of USD120 for 1 hour, USD200 for 2. Expensive, but well worth the money. A cute, pert breasted , highly sexed local girl who really got into it. Highly recommended, and only 1 hour notice needed. Both she and the guy taking bookings spoke reasonable English.

Strip Clubs. Some good strip action - both local and wider CIS. 6,000 entry (a shade over US$10), 1000 tip. However a whopping 15,000 for a 2 song private dance and 150,000 for a take out. I declined. Other joints around town - one further down from the Marriott, another 2 on Lusavorich Poghots. Lots of rather large gentlemen around, so do take care.

Hotel Action. I spent plenty of time cruising hotel bars and saw only 1 rather unappealing CIS-er offering any action. Employees (as recommended below) seemed a rather tough ask in the Marriott, though I had some luck chatting up a bar girl elsewhere. Sadly it was my last night so follow up was tough.

Freebies. With some time, and some Russian or Armenian you could be a very happy man. The average 20-something Armenian woman is visual Viagra if you like women with dark eye, brown eyes and proper curves. A cup of coffee in a sidewalk cafe is one of lifes great free shows.

In all? Not the easiest place in the world by a longshot, but if you had more time I suspect you could do very nicely. Yerevan is a friendly place that is dirty cheap to visit with great food and brandy and enough to keep you occupied for a few days.

I think the fastest way to get to Yerevan from Turkey is via Georgia as far as understand that Turkey and Armenia are by no means friendly neighbours. The Turks support their relatives in Azerbaijan and also refuse committing genocide on Armenians during WWI, so the border between the two remains closed.
However there are direct flights to Armenia from most European capitals (fe from my homecity - Prague) as Armenian diaspora is numerous and spread all over the world.

I'm not aware of any hotels which will restrict your fun, but I alway use the Hotel Congress because of its' convenience. And "guests" are no problem there at. Just got back from Yerevan and the mongering is just getting better all the time. Lots of Russian ladies heading towards Yerevan and they are really great.

I had some days free after having business in Turkey. This was my initial plan to go to Yerevan from Istanbul. Unfortunately I couldn't find resonable flights (e.g. transit via Moscow which neans a big struggle, complecations and waste of time). So to my big regret I've decided not to go there this time.

Spent a couple of weeks in Yerevan in Feb. 05 and am going back there on business in April. Takes a little work, but there are very "good times" to be had. On my last trip, saw a few SW near the Square - which I passed on, but the bar scene was good and the outcall massage service was very good, though a bit more expensive. I stayed away from the strip clubs, as I've been told that one can score, but the cost is very high.

I don't speak the language, which somewhat limits the action, but still a great place with a lot of variety.

I stayed in Armenia over a flight stop back in 2001.I agree with the Armenian woman in Armenia,they are very loyal and beautiful.More importantly Armenia is a beautiful country to visit but very conservative. You can meet girls in the bar and I agree with the other dude about the hotel.I had a hotel girl show me around,but I did not score with her,although I could have .She was definitely giving me options.I was flying there from Dubai as it seemed strange as Armenia is more conservatinve than a Muslim country

Also the is a very popular waterpark with slides and all open during the summer. It's located north of the city and worth checking out as the majority there are of upper stock and can afford the western like entrance fee.

This is info is about a year old but better then nothing. Was in Yerevan for a military exchange and for one there are plent of strip clubs. They are mob ownd but no one bothers you there as you are stimulating the economy. Armenia is a christian country so you won't have to worry about anyone looking just for you. if your american. You can walk the streets drunk , alone and still make it back to your hotel but I wouldn't advise it.

Prices last time I check were around 20,000 Dram local don't know what exchange rate is now though was about equal to $36-40 in 2003. You can sometime find some ladies at the bars of most hotels. Hotel Congress stuck out in particular as the ladies working there were fine catchs themselves and all you had to do was take them out.

Street wise you can find ladies on the weekends one the corner of Mashtots ave. and Pushkin st. or around there. Most of them rate from 5-7 mid 20s to 40s. Most are the rushing kind that don't do greek or oral but they do love oral services from you.

There is a high case of AIDS here but I'm sure other stds are plentiful. Most a clean women with kids who lost husbands in their war with Azerbijan.

My suggestion is find an english speaking hotel clerk and take her out. You'll get a guide, sex and a fine time as Armenian women are very loyal and will treat you right.
