I disagree with the statement of FKK owners being shady. In Vienna the girls are treated very well in most FKKs. All 4 Vienna FKKs have Austrian owners and management as far as I have heard.

Hello,
I am a college student in Vienna for a day or two. I have nothing in the way of sexual experience (I never bothered with social events in college or before) and I feel it is due time for me to acquire some. I am very concerned with cleanliness and hygiene, and wanted to ask if anyone knew of a place in Vienna suitable for some of this kind of background? I've looked into Laufthaus Vienna and Golden Time as I've read that they are popular or reputable.

Walk around the LV, the future of punting. If I was a working girl, I would rather be at GT than LV.
My prediction: Goldentime will decrease the effective number of girls as a reaction to the decreasing number of people coming in. Like that they can make the ratio OK again and then girls will start to make OK money again.

I agree that the trend is downward. I saw it throughout Central Europe. Everyone has a smartphone, instantaneous internet access, facebook and chatting. Its inevitable that cutting out the middleman would make sense to some enterprising young women in their twenties. But independent contracting, like communism, makes sense on a theoretical level, but is much worse when actually executed. Walk around the LV, the future of punting. If I was a working girl, I would rather be at GT than LV.

Very good instructions, this should help people a lot finding their way around town. 2 thumbs up!
I do not agree much with the grade you are giving GT and it is not the only one in town since there are 4 in total. But GT is the best and not really contested by the others. A little by Funpalast but they aren't a real threat either.
I do have to say, though, that business seems to be going south a bit for GT as well. Not only for them, for every other place as well but yesterday it was drastic. It never got full, it started slow and never got into gear at all. Girls were frustrated as Saturdays should be somewhat crowded at least.
I hope we are not seeing a general trend but all in all I am optimistic. It wasn't the best lineup I have seen in GT yesterday, some of the best girls were on vacation or had a day off. It was still ok, I could have easily made 6-7 sessions. The new girls are not that great, though.
LV is good, yes, but also they have seen better times and the attiture that you mention is a result of medium to low business for the girls. And seeing that they do not financially account to anyone (they usually don't in other places either) definitely makes them often lazy and moody. But it is a Laufhaus and if that is what you want then take it or leave it.
I feel like Vienna is still a very good punting destination but I also feel like we are heading directly into a crisis and only the best places will prevail. The really pretty girls are probably shopping elsewhere at the moment.

Posts: 957Ok guys, just got back from a Central European swing. I wanted to post some thoughts and advice, but I wasn't sure where to post it. I don't like to post "field reports" as they are classically designed, and I often post in the "General Info" section. But that didn't seem appropriate in the Austria forum, as it would get lost in the other cites, and my info is strictly on Vienna. My advice and reflections are targeted to noobs, and I write information that I would have wanted to know three weeks ago.
After reading the forums, FKK GT and Laufhaus Vienna were pretty much exactly as described. FKK GT is small to medium in size, very similar to FKK Mainhatten in size and scope. It is over 90% Romanian, with everything that comes with that. Experienced punters in Europe should know exactly what to expect. Good or bad, take it for what it is. Many of them sport that "Girl with a Dragon Tattoo" look. It is a very average FKK, notable only for the fact that it is the only one in town. A small swimming pool and sauna, but no whirlpool or hot tub. There is a tanning booth, but you have to pay extra. Laufhaus Vienna is a small apartment complex with 40 small units, each with a different chica. Only about half of them are there at any given time. They pay rent, and are self-employed. As they are accountable to no one, it is reflected in their attitudes. Overall average, but clean and convenient. I think overall that if you view Vienna as a punting destination, you will be disappointed. But if you view it as a tourist destination, with average punting available for any downtime, you'll appreciate it more. LV is the better value. FKK GT has a 90 Euro entry fee (so is only worth it if after a long day of sightseeing you actually want to utilize the pool and sauna facilities and relax.
Now I will post what I wish someone else had posted before I left on my trip how to get to these places. Vienna has a fantastic public transportation system. Its mix of trains, metro, trams, and buses can get you anywhere. The downside is that it is VERY complex. It took me a while to study the map and figure things out. Now that I have, I will lay things out for you. FKK GT and Laufhaus Vienna, the two most popular, and probably best, venues are relatively easy to get to. Laufhaus Rachel, Funpalast are way out of town and not really practical for the average tourist unless you have a car. Maxim is smack in downtown, one block from the famous Opera House. You won't need instructions for that.
First of all, get the City Map put out by the Dept of Tourism. It is the only one big enough to include areas outside of the historic center. It is a good, but complex map, with the tramlines overlayed on the map. Any other map that you may find probably only has the hiistoric center on it. Even if you decide to go to a venue other than the ones I mention, except for Maxim, I guarantee you that they are outside the historic center, so you are going to need the map anyway. The trams are your best way to get around. The metro is fast and useful, but only gets you to certain key areas. Get an appropriate length day pass to save money. If you do tourist stuff too, you'll save money ten times over.
Think of Vienna has two concentric circles. The historic center, the tourist district, is in the middle, bordered by what's called the Ringstrausse. This is the inner circle, and is served by tramlines 1 and 2. The outer circle is called the Gurtel, which separates the middle suburban area from the outer industrial area (or is it the other way around?) It is served by tramline #6 from the geographic region spanning about 3 to 9 oclock, which is what you are interested in, because most of the venues are south of the historic center. LV is at about 7 oclock on the Gurtel. Get off at Matzlendorf stop, and walk south down Treisterstrause (Treister St.) for about a quarter mile and you are there. GT is at about 5 oclock. Get off Tram 6 at Geiereckstrause, and walk north about 50 yards along the highway underpass and you can't miss it. Use the metro to get to to tram 6. U3, the "orange" line, runs East-West. Take it to the 9 o'clock position at Westbahnhof. U1, the "redline," runs north-south and gets you to Reumanplatz, which is the last stop on the line at 6 o'clock. Once you get the map, my instructions will make sense. Trust me.
Have fun!

I told you that the lineup is good although it used to be better not too long ago. But that is true for all the places in Vienna at the moment.

Good to hear that you're having a good time and things are working out for you.
For a moment there, I thought you may have been disappointed given the recent mixed reports of things not being quite up to scratch post the Easter break.
Looking forward to reading your reports and all the juicy details as I myself will be heading back there again in the not too distant future.
Enjoy the rest of your stay in Vienna. It is a great city to explore and hang out in.
Howie.

Posts: 1102For those of you who had shown some interest in the DD Pauschalclub (hyped as a Flatrate Club which it never was) I can inform you that as of June 1st 2014 the owner who introduced the Pauschalclub system will resign from there.
This could very well mean that the Donaudreams Saunaclub will soon be run again by the former owner under the old conditions. This still doesn't make it a competition for GT and FP but might be interesting news for some of you.

Went there on a Friday at midnight. No entry charge but a bottle of beer is 10 euros and a cola is 9 euros.
About 10 girls on the floor, late 20's or 30's. None attractive. 5 of them came up to us expecting to buy them a drink or go to a room. Half hour for 120 euros or an hour for 200 euros. They were all Romanian but not like the slender toned girls at Golden Time. These girls had a few extra pounds and not so pretty faces but have attitude that you don't want to go with them. Finished our drinks and left as quickly as we could.
