I was in Vienna as well last week. I've been a few times the last year and finally realized that in general service and price / quality just can't match the German club scene I'm used to. If you have been reading my recent posts, you have picked up on my scheme for mongering when with family and friends on a river cruise. It was closer than the one at 108 Engerthstrasse and it had better review rating and I liked the pictures on the website LOL. It took about 16 minutes to walk there and about 20 minutes to return as even with minimal work on my part I walked at a slower pace after the event. So what happened? I went to check out Kontakthof and was very disappointed. It just isn't in the same league as the other laufhauses, it is only comparable to Kontaktzone from my list. The place is separated into 3 structures, one of which is essentially a little alley where guys walk outside in the fresh air and look at the girls through windows. The other two are like a regular laufhaus one of which had a kind of kitchen on the ground floor where some men (presumably owners / managers) were cooking goulash or something and the smell filled the laufhaus. Floors in the hallways were old and very squeaky so the girls can hear you approaching their door, some of them keep their doors open, some closed. I checked out all the girls in all three sections and only saw one that I found somewhat attractive but not enough for a session since my guess is that it is a budget place like Kontaktzone, I just walked out and had ice cream across the street. On the way out I noticed the sign that says "number one laufhaus in Vienna" which I find ironic since out of all 9 laufhauses I would rate this at number 8. Ironically this is the only place other than Rachel that has air-conditioning which keeps it from being tied with Kontaktzone for last place.

After my success in Nuremberg, I felt I had a strategy in Vienna. Do all the prescribed touristy stuff with the group. Do some neat things with the wife including a Vienna Coffee House, a great Schnitzel restaurant and at least one cultural thing, in our case the Mozart Museum and then return to the boat for a couple of hours rest late afternoon prior to the 7 pm dinner. So while she rested, I told her I wasn't that tired and was going for a long walk. Which I did, right back to the Metro for a ride downtown and a walk to 17 Rembrandtstrasse. I had previously decided that some kind of brothel or laufhaus was the best strategy for a short time answer to my mongering needs. I used the Google Map search function and "erotik studio" was my search key. It produced a lot of locations but unfortunately very few near where the boat was docked. So I studied the Metro map and found that this one was about 30 minutes away. It had a review rating of 3. 0 and while not the 5. 0 that others might be wanting, I figured a 3. 0 was good enough for me and that it would not be too crowded. I was right. There were two dark haired gals in the main room that I entered and the one closest to me with very large man-made's and a dynamite long legged body with shapely waist line and hips was the one I picked. It's not. The first one was Laufhaus Juchgasse. I assume LH Vienna treats the girls well, charges a fair amount of rent (cheaper than Juchgasse, anyway) and generally is a well-run establishment. Those things might play a role.

In conclusion there is Laufhaus Vienna on top, and everyone else who seems to be trying to attract whichever girls couldn't get into Vienna. I am really curious as to how Laufhaus Vienna secured such a strong number 1 position. Maybe I am wrong but I think there are more Laufhauses than necessary, if a couple closed down (looking at you Juchgasse) the girls would just fill up the other half empty ones and nothing of value would be lost. Perhaps the Laufhaus scene as a whole would benefit if we had just one or two strong competitors to Vienna instead of a bunch of small places hurting each other. I think I covered it all but if someone knows of another decent place I missed let me know and I will check it out and add it to the list.
