Living in Antwerp, I regularly walk through the place hoping to see some gorgeous chick, but these days that is very unlikely. The quality during the day has become terrible. I have to agree. I have been visiting this area since 1986. Then it was larger and selection was amazing. Over the years it got smaller and smaller, the street walkers left, the quality went rather sub par but strangely enough the prices kept going higher and higher.

My recommendation: Take the train for 30-40 minutes to Brussels Noord, when you arrive in 3 minutes you are at the the Red Light District and price are half than those of Antwerp. Even with the train ticket taken into account price still will be less.

I went to RLD on Sep 4th, it was very disappointing. With all the good reviews around I was thinking that it's comparable to Amsterdam. It's no where near AMS quality, to me.
