Since I have benefited reports here I also want to contribute. I was in Sofia from 28Th December till 01 January. Overall city is nice and easy to transfer. Public transport works perfectly. Taxis a bit difficult to find but you can use Yellow and Taxi Me applications. There were a lot of rumors regarding taxi drivers in Bulgaria but I never had a problem. Most of the situation I used apps. And as you know they are rating drivers. I found taxis on street also and still no problem. Also Bin Bin is an option when you can't find taxi. (Scooter rental) When I arrived bus station (near train station) it was 4 am and there were no place to make an exchange. One of the friends told me it is possible to exchange in Princess Casino near by. And I went there. After passport check I went to Kassa and made the exchange and called a taxi by reception there. So I could avoid ripfull taxi drivers near bus station. I am sure they will overcharge me if I paid Euro and get a taxi on the street at that time of night. So keep in mind.

STRIP CLUBS

Velvet Strip Club.

That was my favourite but of course in Bulgarian Standards. It is really weird. I have hard time to understand Bulgarian people commercial views. That is first strip club I have ever been in my life that girls are not getting stripped. They just stupidly dance on stage. No special figures zero enthusiasm. Private Dance is 180 BG (Around 10 Euro) and it is 3 songs and compared to full intercourse prices in Sofia it is very expensive. So I never got one and I didn't see anybody takes a girl to PD. I wanted to give a try to Sofia because it was just 6-7 hours by bus from Istanbul. I think it is worth but return was about 9 hours. Cost is only 20 euro from Istanbul. I got some nice wines and proseccos from Billa Market in Bulgarian Mall. Also A1 simcard was working perfectly. City was a bit empty due to Christmas holiday I guess. Anyway Sofia isn't comparable with Kyiv but it can be a compensation through these bad days during the war especially when I think the save that I do from an expensive flight ticket to Warsaw or Prague. Otherwise if you are making Euro or USD it is better to try some other countries.

Bulgarian commercial view; I get used to people s approach of job in EE countries because they were communist for many years and they never cared about to make money for their boss. They were clock watchers. That is the case in many EE countries. For example on Vitosha Boulevard there are 5-6 money exchange places and one of them was giving 1,93 as standard rate for Euro and others are giving 1,86 or 1,89 and guess what; There is no customer there and the one which is giving 1,93 has a line in front of it with people who wants to exchange money. This is really stupid because maybe 1,86 you make more profit but if you have no interaction you got nothing. With price of 1,93 maybe less margin but volume. Also same in strip clubs. 180 BG Private dance and girls are sitting there all night make zero money. IF they make it 60 BG I could take many. Really difficult to understand their commercial approach. But anyway. Usually waiters and workers are trying to do their business with effort but something are really hard to understand.
