The online translators vary in quality but I have found good ones. One trick is to use obvious, short phrases, as opposed to a) the whole advert, or b) a single word. Remember that there are different transliteration systems for Croat into English, so the street name on the English-language tourist map may be slightly different from the Croatian rendering on the blue street sign.
