Going to be in Prague next week. Is Showpark still open then? Or have they already shut down?

Well, I simply phoned their reception number and asked because I'm curious myself. They said they're still open and they hope to stay that way, but they don't have any definite information at the moment. At least whoever I spoke with doesn't. I got the impression it's not imminent as such, and a week or two from now should be okay. But I suppose they'd have to pack things up at some point within the thirty days, so who can really say once you get there.

Then again, their DaVinci location is supposedly unaffected, although I hear it's not as good and I suppose it couldn't support a sudden influx. That's all I know, since I'm hardly a Prague regular and have never been to either location.

Prague City Hall won the court case with Delta Center, which rented the market in Holesovice. The company has to vacate the premises within 30 days and pay the outstanding rent including the so-called accessories in the amount of 246 million crowns. The court's decision is final. This was announced today by Deputy Mayor Pavel Vyhnanek. The company was to lease the premises until 2045, but the city decided to close it seven years ago. The company did not accept the termination of the contract and the case ended in court.

What I read there were around 600 providers working in Showpark Holesovice.

Perhaps pimp is a strong term for the managers at privats. And I think there is a need for each venue, whether its a Showpark type facility, a privat, an independent call girl, and even the streetwalker. I've seen well run privats, where the girl sets her own hours, and her range of services. But I've seen some bad ones too.

I would hardly call the managers at a Privat pimps.

The ladies at Privats get better facilities than the ladies at Showpark and are outsourcing more advertising and administrative functions to the Privat Managers than a Showpark lady does.

The same principle is true for escort services.

There is a cost for that lady to be physically visible to you, and to bargain with you in person, prior to you booking a session.

IMHO Privaty are the worst, since they operate under the radar, there is no possibility for the local NGO organisation "Bliss without risk" to visit the providers at the location and test them anonymously on STDs. They do visit night clubs or Showpark regularly.
