Let me put my two cents in.

Most of the hotels nowadays don't allow using the elevator up without a key card & it is there also for your safety when staying in as guest.

It is of course up to each provider to evaluate whether it is worthy to go straight up to the room or not.

Nonetheless should "escort-friendly" in that sense mean being able to get to the right floor & knock on the door without attracting any suspicion of hotel staff or security through hotel cameras. There are few 4/5* hotels in Prague, which do not require a key card that I am currently aware about:

- Sheraton: Zitna 561/8, 11121 Nove Mesto.

- Corinthia Hotel Prague: Kongresova 1655/1, 140 69 Praha 4-Nusle. Right at metro stop Vysehrad (excellent sauna / pool at 25th floor BTW).

- Ambassador Zlata Husa hotel: Vaclavske namesti 840/5, 111 24 Nove Mesto.

- Art Nouveau Palace Hotel: Panska 897/12, 111 21 Nove Mesto.
