As an occasional lurker here and long time resident of Prague I thought I would contribute some information about the mushrooming number of Thai massage places in the city.

There is one place very close to Old Town Square which has a sign at the front desk pointing out that Thai massage is not prostitution. And it is mostly true. If you go to any of these places looking for anything except a massage you will probably go away disappointed, and 1000 Kc poorer.

But, in my experience, in a minority of cases the ladies will be more friendly. I have gotten a handjob even with another customer a few feet away on the other side of a curtain and once met one of them outside of work (although that turned out to be a bad experience).

My advice is to take a passive approach. Your masseuse will let you know if she wants to give you anything other than a massage. It seems to be a common work rule at these places that "hanky panky" is strictly forbidden, though I sometimes wonder if the owners are so naive that they really think nothing ever happens. Nevertheless, even those women who will do a bit more for a tip always will be very concerned that you keep it quiet. If you bring up the subject I think you will almost certainly be turned down. I went to Rita Club last Thursday. None of them spoke English. Only one told that she could speak very little German. Although the barwoman was very frienldy, I left.

If you stay near that club, visit club Victori. It's better than Rita club. There is at least one nice young girl Lucia who speaks English. And only 1500kc for 1 hour.

Double price? I should have stayed in my own town, it would probably be the same price then. I think K5 opens the 26th so I will have the chanse to visit that before I go. I also have heard that the AAA club is open. I e-mailed an independent and she said that she was avaliable at every day except the 24th. But if it is double price and almost no choices to pick I really do regret on this tour, should have went to Amsterdam. Anyway do anbody know if Showpark is open?

Don't worry. Every club and privat has same price, but selection is not good.

Showpark opens everyday, but crowded during holiday season. Because hungry Italians everywhere. A security guard of showpark told me that 1,400 men visited showpark New Year's eve last year. Every girl made average 25000 to 30000kc per day. Some girls made 60000kc, he said. Even they work 18 hours a day, they can't make this. Maybe double charged, or guys were kicked out from the room every 10 minutes.
Worst thing is bad ratio. 60 girls vs 1400 guys.
