Although I did not get the response to my request for validation and assistance as I had hoped for from this forum, I was able to glean through the posts of distinction and meander my way through the Prague escort scene with relative success. Now I didn't get the bargains that some of the mongers covet, and went more the route of Tripster and went high end as is my choice and my pattern with mixed results, I do have to say that Prague and the Czech Republic was as we Yanks say "all that and a bag of chips". I didn't go to K5 nor Sweet Paradise but yet had Yellow Butterflies, AAA, and Prague Passions deliver more or less as promised. But the point of my posting is to let you know that those that pursue what we all do, and the knowledge and forward looking vision give at least those that have some experience and realize what we are getting into, a general idea of what to expect.

Thanks to Tripster and others for your valuable insight and all those others that allowed me to, as a first time visitor to the beautiful City of Prague, to explore the beauty of it's culture and history and play when time presented itself. Regarding clubs are you talking about Discos/ Music clubs? there is a pretty good one two stops from Namesti Miru called Infinity it is next to Flora.

You could not be on a better spot near Machek apartments there are lots of Restaurants and pubs. This is a nice quiet area with both locals and expats mainly and some tourists. you could check some out through http://www.czechdineout.com/lang/ or http://www.czrb.cz/Default.asp?language=1 there is also decent information about what to do and get in Prague on http://www.allpraha.com/ they say everything you want to know about Prague but it is not quite right.

There are few supermarkets directly in the city center.

In NARODNI TRIDA (Between the National Theatre and Wenceslaw Square street) is big ugly buidling name TESCO. Downstairs is supermarket big quite enaught to find what you need. Also near Bata (on Wenceslaw Square) is one supermarket. It is little bit hiden so better ask. Mostly everybody are turist in that location so find some young person looking like student, students will know for sure where it is Next supermarket in city center is near Paladinum or metro station "NAMESTI REPUBLIKY. Yellow line, B". Also ask somebody, they will show you the exact direction.

The supermarkets have all same prices not depending if they are in city center or in the corner of Prague.

Just for those who comming to Prague in close future. The weather turned to be pretty bad. Yesterday only 13 degrees: o (Take sweeters, jackets, umbrelas e. C. As the summer is allready gone. This weekend will be the last nice weekend in this year. Is expected someting around 20 dagree. So enjoy.

A survey made last year about prostitution in Czech Republic shows the following facts:

- Because of no regulation/registration the State has no idea regardings the number of prostitutes working in CZ and his repartition Czechs/foreign girls. The number is estimated to 25 000 prostitutes.

- Prostitution is noticeably moving from the streets to night clubs and the "hidden prostitution" (private flats, massage salons, escort services...) in Prague as well as in the border´s areas.

- Small night clubs from the nineties with only 3-5 girls are slowly disapearing in favour of bigger clubs with a impressive number of girls - a rotation of up to 150 girls monthly (I guess they are talking about Darling, K5... ).

- Last few years a growing number of students as well as women over 30 y.o. can be found in clubs and private flats due to social pressure.

- The main group of foreign clients is no more coming from Germany like in the nineties but from the UK.

- A growing number of foreign prostitutes can be found in CZ, coming from Central & Eastern Europe (Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Kazahkstan, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova...) as well as "exotic " countries like China, Thailand, Mongolia, Brazil, Ivory Coast, Nigeria...

- "Luxury prostitution" grew up since the late nineties. Czech girls are now travelling by plane trough Europe (England, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Sweden...) and far as to the Emirates (Dubai) to provide "companionship".

- About 60 *****houses are registred in Prague only.

It´s a long and never ending story. It´s now a few years that the Czech Government is talking about prostitution´s legalisation justifying the need to protect prostitutes against sex-slavery and both girls and clients against STD´s spread (especially AIDS).

Well for most of the people the real argument is "money"! The State is loosing billions of Crowns because of unpaid income tax as well as social and medical insurance by prostitutes...

The City of Prague is now pushing for a new law to regulate prostitution on his territory, giving the City the power to manage prostitution´s business.

Basically giving sexual services (prostitution) will only be allowed in "authorised places" (brothels/*****houses). All girls working in these brothels will have to be registred as employees. The prostitutes will have to register (individual certificate & individual trade certificate from the City will be needed), will have to be on the payroll of brothel (to pay social insurance & medical insurance as any employee) and pay income tax... Both brothels and prostitutes will be monitored by the Health administration (girls will need medical certificate in order to work).

This gives the City the power to definitely erase street prostitution and "hidden prostitution" that takes place in privates flats (privat).

If sexual services are provided on "unauthorised place", both client and prostitute caught will be fined (client: up to 15 000 CZk, prostitute: up to 50 000 CZK).

This law proposal is very disputed and didn´t passed yet. Prostitutes are of course very concerned not only because they will have to pay income tax but also because of the registration as a "sex worker". Discretion is not garanteed anymore. If some girls are real pro´s (100 % of their income coming from prostitution) many girls are working for a limited time or from time to time to supplement one´s income (including many students, single mothers, newly divorced women but also girls/women facing temporary money problems).

These girls/women may be tempted to move to "hidden prostitution" (private flats, "freelance" protitution in bars/discos, escort services...) instead. Wich may be connected to forced prostitution, insecurity and other abuses in some cases.
