I live in the region and spend a lot of time in Helsinki, so I thought I would share my perspective. I am not overly concerned with cost, so would rather pay a bit more for quality as a way of background.

1. In hotels there are generally no problems to bring a girl up, at least the ones I have staid most in. Scandic Marski and Hotel Torni. At Torni they have a basement level bar which you can enter from the street and then take an elevator straight to your room if you want to avoid the walk of shame past reception. They also have a rooftop bar which you can take the elevator to, less obvious to get off on your floor with the girl on the way down. There are also several Omena hotels, which are understaffed and which you enter using a code you get when reserving.

2. In Kallio area, a taxi ride from downtown, there is a cluster of sex shops and strip clubs. All offering extras. Along with street Walkers. Have only been there ones, and it is quite seedy in my opinion but good value for Money. There are also Thai massages places offering happy endings and more...

Spent another night in Helsinki recently, a Sunday unfortunately. 3. Downtown by Erinkatu and around those blocks there are some streetwalkers, but usually not that high quality. I picked up a blond petite Eastern European spinner once who took me to her room and a south American girl who I took to the hotel once. They all have their own places, often shared with another girl. The spinner had a roommate who wanted to join in, but I was not in the mood as she looked quite run down and probably on drugs.

4. Soho Club and Alcatraz Club (the latter is in the area where the street walkers downtown are) are my normal pick. These are similar to bars in Spain or Portugal, where you can have a drink, chat to girls and bring them home. At Alacatraz there is also strip tease, and you are expected to tip each stripper EUR 5. Entrance to both clubs is EUR 10-15. Soho is much better, with typically 10+ girls a weekday and 20+ on Fridays and Saturdays. At Alcatraz, it is usually just a small handful of girls. I would any time recommend Soho, but Alcatraz is 1 minute from my favorite hotel so I usually check that out first, if no luck there then only 10-15 minute walk to Soho. Prices are EUR 150-300 and sometimes services are limited (I. E. No anal or BBBJ) but generally I have always been very satisfied. There is no bar fine or anything like that.

5. One disadvantage of Helsinki is that it is quite small, and after a few times girls you have been with recognize you. The drawback is of course that they latch on to you when you enter the club, which is inconvenient if you are after trying something new. But, if you ask them to leave you alone they do. Things are very sane and safe. Many girls are from Eastern Europe and stay in, or commute to, Helsinki for years. The advantage is that if you meet a good provider, you can call her again. I have 2-3 which I really enjoyed and sometimes call when I am there. Great if one is not up for going out to cruise the clubs!

6. Apart from the above two clubs, there are a number of strip clubs as well. These do not always have any girls who will leave with you and are basically "champagne for EUR 1000" types of hostess places. I have not been to all of them, but my advice is to stay on. Would be happy if someone else has a recommendation of any one of them for mongering!

7. Finally, there are also clubs where it is fairly easy to pick up non-pros like Lady Moon and MilliKlubbi. Have done it a few times when in town over the weekend. Lots of alcohol and drunk girls.

I am a first timer here, and also relatively new to the entire scene. Based on reports from fellow people here in the forum, I went and spent some time in Kallio looking for Thai massage places. The major bad news is that the rates have simply gone up. No longer (unlike the previous reports here), can you get a BJ or sex for $50 or so. The cheapest BJ, with rubber was $80.
