close to the gare saint lazare there is a tiny dirty street called rue de budapest. it is going up from the rue saint lazare to rue d'amsterdam. between a couple of cheap bars and loose electronic shops, you should find 3 to 6 ladies in their 50ies (and 60ies++!), black and whites. for 30 € you'll get 15 minutes of depravation… no gems here of course - i suspect french gouv to let them work just to disgust the youngsters to go with prostitutes!

one area has given fairly consistent service over the years, and yet has only been fleetingly mentioned here. it is the rue joubert area, 75002 paris, two streets back behind galeries lafayette. i’ve always seen around a dozen or so women there, even in these times, just like in the pre-sarko days.

true, they start from 30 years upwards, ranging from 4s to 7s. however the service has been fairly consistent… they ask for between e50 and e80 – for cbj/fs (le pipe“peepe” et l’amour), generally for 15/20m. price vary - maybe depending on how rich you look, or on how local you sound, or how much they estimate their worth. maybe there is a strong correlation to age. however there is certainly no correlation between value and price, in my experience.

attitude is professional, maybe too mechanical for some. most of the women are french (if they are coloured, a fair bet they have french nationality all the same). they seem to work for themselves out of fairly clean apartments along the street (the last lady told me she owned it herself, and it was immaculate and stylish!). they almost appear unionized, in that to work there, you likely have to be french, and they all know each other, and have the same approach.

service seems to be 24/24h. many hang out in the cafes along these streets (rue joubert, rue de la victoire, intersecting with rue mogador), especially if the weather is bad or cold. or if it is meal time, which it often is. that means you need to be ready to pluck up the courage to go into of these cafes and chat them up. chatting does help here (i wouldn’t expect them to speak anything other than french however). if in too much of a hurry to go into a café, you must content yourself with the reduced choice on the street. one elderly lady – see below - actually hangs occasionally in her twingo, from where she accosts the males as they walk past.

There are a lot of Chinese girls working around the metro Strasbourg St Denis, in front of the KFC and in front of the McDo, they are walking between metro Bonne Nouvelle and Strasbourg St Denis.
