This is what my GF said last night – No, but I was in Georgia last year but was overloaded with work since and had no time to type a proper site report – but here it comes (This she also said last night)

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union I have been traveling in most of East Europe and have seen how other countries developed and getting the general living standards up and making it less attractive or even say necessary for nice girls to provide their service to mongering gentlemen as us in this forum. Took a taxi downtown and went to the Hangar bar as recommend by some fellow mongers on this site. Was ok, good food cheap beers and some girls around. A few rather old and 4-5 looking girls were without sponsors but not of my interest.

Back to the hotel. Last opportunity, which I do not like to use, as this is often the most expensive, was to ask the security for assistance. No problem of course, and the head of the security told me to wait for about 30 minutes and a girl would arrive. About an hour later a fat lady arrived claiming 200USD for a ride. I refused. Went to talk to security again who promised to make another try. 20 minutes later Galinka (see photo section) arrived about 30 minutes later. Negotiated her down from 200USD for two hours to 100 USD for three hours, but then she called her pimp (or security) and told me that time was no problem, but she needed minimum 150USD as 50USD had to go to the hotel security. Finally agreed for four hours for 150 USD. All negotiations on paper as her English capabilities was zero, however her French oral was ok!

Service was ok, but not all that funny when you cannot communicate a single word with the girl.

After a couple of hours I sent her away, she gave me her number for next visit.

I've been a few times in Tbilisi in last 3 months. Here is my observations :
It is next to impossible to seduce a georgian girl on the street or pub, bar etc. but ones on hotel seems to be having tendency to be available if you dont go too fast (needs a few nights of work patiently). You can always find 2-3 hookers at the lobby of sheraton or else you can ask the security guy and he provides you the number but I dont recommend at all. They ask for 100 or 200 USD for 2 hours (depending on their mood at that night) and they are capricious a lot (I tried 3 of them all same). Never again. A fashion tv bar exists on Rustaveli strees across the Mariott hotel, girls look great, you have to pay 20 GEL as entrance fee but I cant find out any action there. Girls seems not to be available. I still could not find out a good source

However, as everywhere in the world, if you have good ties you can easily find what you need. Stayed in Sheraton Metekhi and it was already dead at 20:00. Checked out the nightclub in the hotel, but no action.

Then I was forced to call one of my Georgian friends. He immediately came up with the bunch of telephone numbers. You call, they come. That's as simple as it can be.

So, find a good local friend before you go. Good luck.

Now is not a good time to be planning a trip to Georgia. At least not to Tbilisi. The hotels are being booked for President Bush's visit May 9 & 10. The people coming with him need 800 + rooms. Starting right about now for 2 weeks at least. So if you were thinking of coming - plan to stay in west Georgia. Batumi or Poti. The girls will do okay in Tbilisi I am sure.

I'd agree it was safe, but as for easy, I have wandered over from the Grand (Marriot) to the Green Bar (used to even be able to see it from my room!) and found it generally absolutely *dead*, it would be "easy" if there were any girls there!

Alas, it is gone. Occupying prime real estate on Rustaveli Ave, the Green Bar has been purchased and closed. The building is now the home to a bank. So for those who once stayed at the Marriott, and walked across the street to find some afternoon, evening or all night action you will have to say goodbye. The girls are still in the neighborhood - the new Turkish restaurant on the square to the west has attracted many of them. But that area has also been designated for urban renewal. I can't say I miss the Green Bar myself but for those first timers in Tbilisi it was easy, safe and had a variety of girls.
