West and East Berlin are a thing of the past. The wall came down in 89.

Berlin doesn't have a red light district comparable to the Banhhofsviertel in Frankfurt am Main.

As to apartments, they are everywhere. Just read further down and make a list of places to visit.

I has been eagerly looking forward to an evening at Artemis, where I've been before. All was very much in order as I walked into the main room...a very lovely parade of girls.

There was only one girl who was working the open area with the sofas. I went with her, which was not a great experience. She seemed very keen to get things over quickly. And as I mentioned this place has lost its atmosphere, its in need of redecoration as well. But basically guys I now advise to keep away.

So to sum up: Artemis - absolutely fine, but avoid Wednesdays unless lingerie is your thing. Freudenhaus seemed ok for a cheap session. And La Folie avoid at all costs.
I will go back to Berlin sometime and will do things differently. But Cologne is now my favourite place.

If you can fill in the address of you hotel and the address you want to go to this handy website from BVG will lead you straight there on public transit.

The only slightly tricky bit is that you need to know the "postleitzahl", the post number that identifies an address (ie.10xxx). These are usually, but not always, given on the web page as part of the contact info.
