I'm a regular visitor to Germany but new to Frankfurt and I'm currently planning a trip there between now and March. I started browsing through the forums but there was quite a lot of RLD posts which made it difficult to find the information I was looking for.

Please excuse me asking as I do like to normally do my own homework and I will be more than happy to follow up my trip up with a trip report once I get back to share with you guys.

What I am looking for is.

This may or may not be valid for areas outside of Frankfurt. But definitely pertains to my last trip to Frankfurt.

Transport: If you don't want a Eurail pass, there are day passes you can buy, and the train station has staff to help you with machines. It was pretty cheap from Frankfurt to the Sharks station (see their website for help with knowing which station to get off).

Taxis. Sharks has a house car that sits outside the door- flat rate. It was there the couple times I visited. Not worth waiting for Uber to save a Euro or two unless you plan to take it all the way to Frankfurt. But I did opt for the service all the way back to Darmstadt main station. P.S. You should keep some 10's and 5's in your wallet, so you never have to deal with drivers who suddenly don't have change.

There is a new Apple Ap (also android) that will turn your phone into a 2nd virtual phone. It's $50 year for a fixed new number and you can chose your area code. I used that to link to What's App so I didn't need to carry a 2nd phone or buy second chip esp for those with a the locked phone. The one I used is called Burner Phone. I've had several conversations with private ladies both texting and linking with Whats App. Works great.

Also, just simpler, one purchase and transport is mostly sorted. I bought one right at the airport Train pass office. Trains made travelling out to Sharks easier, although they do get less frequent after 12:30, with the last at 3:30 AM. Then again, no one ever asked to see it.

Cabs were always available never had any communication issues and I favored these (no particular reason or advantage, just what I did), but Uber would work just as well.

Accommodation

Phone bought a sim card in the airport (terminal 1) but probably much more economics to just make it to Frankfurt main by train, and getting one there. There's not really a need for a phone card before you make it to Frankfurt main, and you'll get a better deal via the larger Telcoms than in the airport.

Thanks Manchester Cat for the GREAT summary. Some great info in there. I am in full agreement with your point that once you've had true in-country Brasileiras and Scandallo you can be a bit jaded. There are no girls worldwide who can be completely in-the-moment GFE like a Brasileira. It is unique worldwide. First time in Germany – and this is the prelim report. There are lots of valuable reports already, but I did note certain gaps when I did my research so this is really the report I'm writing to myself – hoping it's helpful to someone in a similar position to me.

Only thought prompt is – if you're more likely to go to Sharks (which I know I will be in the future) there are hotels in Damstradt etc- which may be slightly more convenient, so you can stay at the club till later and walk / cab back to your hotel, and train into the city for day, instead of the other way around – just a thought. Same could apply for the other venues. The city is obviously easiest if RLD is your main target.

Money – Cash is king, just good idea to have cash in general. Whenever travelling I always opt for withdrawing straight from an ATM. Some banks refund all ATM fees, or have deals with banks in other country not to charge fees. An ATM will usually give a better rate than any currency converter, including your local bank (even if you know the staff) so this is the easiest choice ever. This is because withdrawals come out at the Visa / Mastercard rate which is wholesale rate compared to banks / currency converters' retail rates. You're throwing away money by exchanging beforehand, including currency cards etc.

Other Activities.

There are a couple of good day tour options, including cheap walking tours, I found this great for the morning – just so there's something else to do.

I actually found there to be a bit of a general lacking of activities in Frankfurt compared to say Munich and Berlin. Far fewer options on Tripadvisor for activities etc. Bar crawls and walking tours seem to be it.

Entertainment.

Now, the proper stuff. I know there are just a multitude of options for Germany. I focused mainly on FKK and visited the RLD.

Year End Status.

Sadly, I am here during the end of year period, which means the activity levels in general were significantly lower (or so I'm led to believe).

I tried looking for some guidance on what the scene is like during end of year (I can't be the only one who wanted to know) – and couldn't find much on the forum, other than answers to my questions. I won't eat into the individual reports by club in this post, but a quick summary is – activity is lower according to everyone I spoke to. However, people who answered my earlier post were spot on. Depending where you're from, and what you're after, there's probably still going to be enough options to keep most visitors entertained.

For example, Sharks had a bit under 80 or so girl (rough estimate) at the Christmas Eve party. Ratio probably wasn't as great as usual (maybe 1:2) but I didn't have issues finding girls I liked, and they weren't too busy with other etc. FKK Palace has less when I visited, probably closer to 20 – but still varied enough that there's probably something viable for most tastes.

Will say, I asked around about the Sylvester / NYE party – and general feedback was, there'll be lots more guys, and the same amount of girls (the ones around currently are sticking around, and the ones who have left aren't coming back till January) so the ratio will be even worse for guys on NYE. When I went back the day after Christmas, the ratios were already worse than during Christmas Party, so can't imagine what NYE would be like. By my second visit, I kept looking around by the time I left, but it was basically the same 4-5 girls I had identified yesterday that I was interested in. There's someone for most tastes, but there may not be that many.

In RLD, lots of closed doors and 'back in XX January' signs.

RLD.

For anyone too lazy to RTFF – this is located basically a block away from Frankfurt main so could not be more centrally located. Plenty of hotels nearby etc.

As mentioned above, as of writing this, I only walked through a couple of buildings, saw at most 5 open doors in the 5 or so buildings I looked around in (although granted this was closer to midnight).

Will provide an update in a separate post if I find anything different in the next couple of days.

Everyone seems to focused on E44 and T32 – both these basically were all closed door (except 1) when I visited.

FKK General.

This probably belongs in the FKK General thread, but I think it's valuable to have it together than jumping around too much.

Loved the FKK concept, just makes sense for a lot of reasons. The cover charge for the facilities / food / beverages, is honestly not unreasonable. But, do appreciate that, if you factor in transport etc how long you stay and your experience in the club, may mean this is prohibitive at some points.

For comparison – Sharks was still the second / third busiest / largest club I've been to (behind Scandello in SP Brazil only in terms of venue) – expect it to be as busy / busier at a better time of the year. Prices are slightly better than Scandello but on par with other Brazilian clubs etc (cover to other South American club is much lower – but also doesn't include food etc).

However, I do really prefer the takeout option in South America, and how you can pay circa USD $300 and get a girl for the whole night. Sure, you're asleep for a lot of the time, and it doesn't feel like a good deal, but I like spending more time with someone and them not feeling pressured or clock watching at all.

In the FKK, unless you're dealing with a super unpopular girl – this doesn't make much sense, if they get a couple of longer sessions in, they'll probably earn more than what you would reasonably offer your make for a night, so unless they prefer a lower tempo night with one person, it's a harder sale. The passion was also missing a bit in general, compared to South America, so I can't imagine enjoying my time that much more spending a whole night with any girl anyway.

Probably says more about my taste than anything else – but all girls I spoke to were Romanian.

Service did generally feel various levels of mechanical – while communicating to them in English was fine, I personally found it harder to hold a conversation with them in general, so the overall experience wasn't as social as I had hoped.

Overall – I think much to my own surprise, I prefer South America, I just had better experiences there. This is summarized into the following reasons:

1. Prices in places are generally cheaper.

2. The club scene in places like Colombia can be just as exciting and fun. My personal experiences when I went out in Colombia were great – I did go out with some locals which made the experience much better.

3. There's something fun about the slightly less organised nature of it in South America.

However:

1. I prefer Slavic girls, so some of the girls in the FKK are the most attractive I've seen. One girl was a 9. 5 in my books, which is just a dream come true.

2. I'm not exactly comparing apples to apples – I was in South America during a busier time, and had my experiences skewed by some particular individuals I met / spent time with including locals I went out with.

3. I'll still be back in the future at a better time during the year, to see what it's like during it's prime.

If I was to plan a trip for these couple of weeks of the year again, would go South America and visit Germany again at any other time of the year.
