I will be in Frankfurt for one night on a Friday. Never gone to FKK before.

Do you recommend I try Sharks in Darmstadt? If there is no one I like on Friday night, where should I go as backup in Frankfurt?

For One night, my recommendation is Sharks. It also depends a bit on where you are staying and transport. If you are in down town, obviously Mainhatten is a better choice. Second choice being Palace. For one night, no need to worry too much about other details other than access. You have a car or taking taxi?. , that also makes a difference.

For my one night layover in FRA, I rent a cheap car (same price as two way taxi), book at Atlanta hotel in Dramstadt and go to Sharks. I take couple of breaks, come to hotel to use internet and get some work done and go back. They have no issues with re entry.
