Just to clarify, I didn't talk about German umlauts or French accents, but about the normal letter combination "m-u-n" like in "M-u-nich".
I noticed that it happenes for others in a different thread as well -- I don't think it is an encoding problem, but also can't imagine a meaning of this three-letter-word for which it should be censored...

It is because ASCII, which is the basic computer language of text files in the USA, is different from the basic computer language of text files in other countries.

Thus, when umlauts in German get scrambled. Also all the accents French. Und so weiter.

Your best move is to avoid them when posting and be patient with the crazy mix-ups when they appear.

When in Munich, i just go to the hauptbahnhof, take the first train to Augsburg, one every 30-45 min, ride for about 40 minutes, get down inAugsburg, take a cab ( 15 euros, 10 minutes) and go to FKK Colloseum (see this thread).

Of course you have to be free during day time, since I don't know when the last train returns. But Colloseum, IMHO, is one the best FKK in the whole of Germany..so worth the trip.

Too bad they don't close at 4am. The train ticket one-way cost 15 Euros or close to that amount from memory.
