Staying in Athens in September. Looking for advice for a Nice (but not too nice) hotel. I'd prefer if it were old and classical but with it's own bathroom and remodeled within 20 years. My budget was around the $100/night area. I was hoping to find something central as this is my first time (obviously) and want to to the museums, temples, etc. Any advice?

I have never been there, but have it on good authority there are many foreigners there. The Scandanavians go early in the summer because it is too hot for them later.

Eastern Europeons have less money so there would be fewer of them.

Different nationalities favour different centres.
