Last time I was in Athens (a few years ago admittedly) the taxi I was in, couldn't find my hotel. Something not uncommon in Athens. Most Greek taxi drivers have a stunning lack of knowledge of the city they work in. And they cannot read maps. And GPS (then) was either not available or broken or he didn't know how to work it.

Anyhow, when I asked him to drop me off near Omounia Square from where I knew how to walk to my hotel, he flatly refused as it was "too dangerous for a foreigner" and so I guided him to my hotel. And no, he didn't do it to fatten the bill. Perfectly normal price, pre-agreed as I knew the price from a previous trip on the meter.

Perfectly good hotel, but the next-door hotel offered rooms by the hour and ladies were waiting in the reception area. The youngest one looked older than my grandmother and I'm no spring chicken myself.

Thanks, good report. I'm surprised it was crowded. Who were the mongers? Greeks? I thought tourism and business in general was still subdued due to covid. Looks like at just 10 to 20 euros, nothing can stop business!

It seems like Greece is off limits to any tourists looking to vacation from the United States (according to official travel restrictions) however, business is still active in Fylis. Anyone have a clue if these restrictions will be lifted? I am trying to make a trip over there by mid September.

Hello,

I can confirm that filis and Metaxourgeio area brothels were open in July.

In Filis that 20 euros for 10 minutes and all the women I saw were beautiful (we were 3 men so we did several brothels). In Saturday night it is just crazily crowded. Some speak English (more the women than the mamasan).

Metaxourgeio is nice too. Price vary from 10 to 20 euros. Generally 10 euros women have a flaw (face or body) but if you do it all you can find a nice women from Bulgaria who look like "beurette" (french speakers will understand = morocco woman) with big boobs and GFE attitude. I visited her at 2 pm that is good because empty and she have seen less dicks than at 2 am. Another pretty blonde for 20 euros in another brothel. I think that was in kolonou street (or something like that).

For quickie Athens is a must visit!

I have been to Greece several times, I don't speak Greek and I've always gotten BBBJ. BBFS seems more difficult to get but I think with more time to look I think it's possible.

A.) Everyone speaks English.

Be.) No, there is no BBFS, the best you can get, and you may need to twist elbows to get it is BBBJ. Some but not all are open to negotiating extra services.

There were 2 or 3 workers that offered CIM but they were high mileage and desperate.

Greece limits public gatherings to 50 people.

Greece has put in place a temporary 50-person limit on public gatherings on Friday, saying restaurants and bars in Athens and other areas must close by midnight.

The measure hopes to help the country contain a recent spike in Covid-19 infections. The deputy civil protection minister said the limit on public gatherings would last until Aug 24 and be imposed in parts of the country where infection numbers have risen.

"No measures can substitute for personal responsibility, particularly that of young people to protect their parents and grandparents," deputy civil protection minister Nikos Hardalias said.

Greece reported 262 new infections on Wednesday, its highest daily tally since the start of the outbreak in the country. Another 204 cases were reported on Thursday.

This of course is true, especially as they are not always transliterated into English consistently. Fortunately the Greek alphabet is not too hard to get one's head around once you start thinking of b's as v's. The city centre, at least Acropoli - Syntagma - Filis - Larissa - Kerameikos - Thissio is walkable (though not all the same day unless you're very fit) and includes most of the main attractions, p4p and tourist. Remember the white lights stretch from Filis almost all the way down to Larissa, which includes a couple of lower grade studios, and north along the main road adjacent to Filis for a few massage dens.

I think most people will know all this but the occasional note is probably helpful for new visitors.

They're rare these days as cop squads soon flood the area if walkers are about,.

But will there be any staff there as the women come from all over Europe and will they want to work at the moment? Many won't as they fear covid. Staff numbers could be well down or just munters working.
