I'm going to Athens next week on holiday and I've been reading the athens forums lately. I'm wondering how places like Filis, Metax and studios treat those who only speak english? I've seen posts that you got no chance unless you speak greek and other posts that claim that it was no problem at all. Anyone got any experience with this. Since it was my first time in Athens, I can't speak for how it used to be. I did however walk through Metax and Fylis several times throughout the week, especially during the Friday evening / night. Plenty of white lights and a lot of traffic in the area no matter which time of day. I was in Athens last week. Regarding the doors with the white lights, don't knock, just open the door and walk in.
