It really depends on your street cred, age, fluency with Greek language, wallet, dance ability. If you are good on all of those you should have no problems. It's a big city and there are many areas depending on your style. I'd avoid the tourist trap areas though. In fact getting out of Athens is quite good and I find the girls in the smaller towns far more approachable and chatty.
