I was in Thessaloniki for a short while, and checked out the situation.

DIRECTIONS.

Was recently in Thessaloniki and made a pleasant trip to the Red Light district. Apparently if you scroll down this thread another poster has put up a map where to find the action in this town. Anyway. If you walk directly out the main door of the Train station, cross the main road outside, turn to your left side, maybe take the first or second turn right after that. From the main road looking down you will see even in the day time some slightly faded Red Lanterns turned on outside some houses. If you walk down the street you can almost follow the circuit of them Clockwise back up to the Train station street where you started. That will get you to about 90% of these houses. As mentioned another Poster has put up a Map with different Types of houses, these are the Cheaper ones that I went to.

Had a quick look at the brand new strip club in Lindos while passing through Rhodes recently, called "Medusas" or something similar. To get there, take the walkway back down towards the beach from the taxi stand / bus stop in the little square at the entrance to the old town and walk about 50m. Other nightclubs are down there as well. If need be ask the taxi drivers.

This is a very small club but opens onto a pleasant little beer garden so you can escape the noise of the music and sit outside in the cool. Found directions on how to get to the red light area in Rhodes City on another forum. After getting lost for an hour or so I eventually worked it out:

1. Find the Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (southern side of the old city just outside the old wall, opposite the cinemas).

2. Just past the church you will see a turn off into the old town. This takes you through Athanasiou Gate. Do *not* make a hard right turn behind the church else you'll end up walking 100m to get to the wrong gate.

3. Once through the Athanasiou Gate walkways you'll find yourself looking down a long street. Immediately turn right and follow your nose. This road runs next to the old wall.

4. The third street on your left is the main brothel street. Just before this you'll see one bordello, then turning into the street is another five or so.

Unfortunately there wasn't a huge choice this time. There was one ok looking woman, about a 5. Another appeared to be a late middle aged transexual. Another was a big titty middle aged mama.
