No one go to Palace night club or Dolce Vita or the like. The people that go there only run up the prices.

There is only one decent "look only" (if you are married and want to see pussy) clubs. One is Marilyn Table Bar with is more like an american strip club. abt 500huf entry and for each drink. the most reasonably priced club in BP. Hallo bar is ok too.

Be carefull.

There are so many ripoff bars in BP. the ones that have fine print that says if you buy one beer after paying 5000huf to enter, then you must pay 10000huf per person if you order one 1000huf drink. Budapest is full of mafia/gangsta bars. i lived 1 block away from 3 strip bars all run by one mafia. i talked to the bouncers alot since i walked by them almost everyday for 1.5 years. I learned alot abt the industry.

I went to privates for my fun times. but I compared my prices to what Hungarian guys were paying, and I found out the I was paying an extra 4000 Huf compared to Hungarian guys. It was not bad when the dollar was greater than the euro but now things are different. The comparison was against prices reveiled on HU escort review boards.

In my time in BP gypsies by the expensive hotels wanted 50 - 100 USd and gypsies in my neighborhood asked for for 3000-5000 huf, 12-20usd at the time.

..so, appreciating very much the new Forum on WSG and considering I got a lot of great info's out of it so far, I thought of starting the new Forum with some of my expiriences...:

Street Action in Hungary:
I admit I checked only Budapest and the westerly Region of it, but in my expirience it depends very much on luck. Roadwork outside Budapest seem to be most during standard working hours (maybe a Union influence? ;-) ), not much Chances in the late Evenings.
Within Budapest, the Joszef Area has some Actions - in my expirience typicalls during Evening time let's say 19.00-24.00, but that's to be checked. As mentioned by someone else before-lot's of Gypsies and Prices seem to be in the 5,000-15,000 HUF Area. Actually, sometimes one get's lucky and finds a pretty nice & cute Girl.

Nightclubs:
At least in Budapest they allmost all seem to be a big Rip-Off, I checked Palace Night Club (I.District, Gyözö u. 5. ) and Tiamo Bár Night Club (IX., Ferenc krt. 19-21.) and I can only warn to go there!! In Tiamo Bar I hardly got out, being the only guest and paid 55,000 HUF for 1 Baileys and 1 Cognac for a Girl (well, I deserved it probably!)
Black Rouge Dance & Night Club (I., Hegyalija út 2. ) has a new name which I don't remember, but it is kind of OK, one pretty cute Girl (Klaudia, tell her my regards), but all in all you still end up with about 60,000 HUF for one hour at the end (well, Drink in the Bar + Dring for the Girl = about 15,000, 1 Hour with her = 25,000, Taxi, Hotel, another Drink in the Hotel, little Souvenir, ...), so don't look for a cheap lay.
My Impression is that all Nightclubs in the downtown region (V. District) are expensive Ripp-Offs and I personnaly won't go there!

I will check out the ones further out some more in the next couple of weeks and of course come back to you about them, will also check the Escorts and come back to you about these...

There has been some Posts in the Old Forum about Vaci ut and the Barracudas working there and even thought I didn't really try them, I agree to consider them as dangerous, being approached by 5 of them within 10 Minutes !

Actually, maybe someone can help some as well ? What is a good way of finding a Girlfriend in Hungary (will be here for some month/years) without speaking really that much Hungarian (I try to learn..) ?
